Cooking Mama will no longer appeal purely to carnivores, as the latest instalment in the culinary series will offer a vegetarian mode. Amazon Germany has leaked the first information on the release, after its subtitle – CookStar– appeared on an Australian age rating site earlier in the month. “For the first time, Cooking Mama offers both traditional and vegetarian recipes: Burritos, Bibimbap, Bubble Tea, Baked Alaska, Poke Bowls, and much more. Explore the diverse menu to find out what suits your taste,” a Google Translation of the synopsis reads.
Scheduled to release on the PlayStation 4 via publisher Planet Entertainment, the title will include co-operative and competitive multiplayer modes for up to two players, and will utilise a mixture of traditional and motion controls. There’ll apparently be a Challenge Mode for seasoned chefs, though novices will be able to summon the assistance of the titular matriarch. Unfortunately there’s no word on a vegan mode, so frequenters of upmarket Shoreditch coffee shops are encouraged to give this one a miss.

I am 87% bubble tea.
Do they have options for matcha brownies or any other matcha stuff?
@Meow They do, but only the kind of matcha enhanced by superior Western palates.
@get2sammyb Disappointing.
I heard a lot about this series during the DS/Wii era. Never played it though.
