Cult classic PlayStation 3 vacuum-‘em-up Ghostbusters: The Video Game will cross streams with the PlayStation 4 from 4th October, publisher Mad Dog Games has revealed. The third-person shooter – which originally released in 2009 and acts as a kind of pseudo-sequel to Ghostbusters 2 – has been fully upgraded for Sony’s current generation console, and is well worth revisiting a decade on from its original release.
We actually dug up our review of the original PS3 version, and here’s what we had to say as part of our 7/10 verdict: “Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a perfect extension to the franchise. With a plot contributed by original writers Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, as well as a majority of the original cast on-board for vocal talent, the story will raise many a smile from fans. It's not just the delivery that's been nailed though; the look is also spot-on.”

I really enjoyed this on PS3, though the controls and movement were janky as hell. I'll definitely pick this up, and hope for some improvements there.
Looking forward to it. But what a time to bring it out.
This game would have been even better with a proper co op. Such an amazing game that I can't wait to dive back into.
Woohoooooo!! What an incredible game that was. Ill def revisit a remaster!!!
I looked at the trap, Ray.

Ghostbusters and MediEvil in the same month? I'm good with that.
Catherine in September, Star Wars in November. The final months of this year will be fun indeed.

For once, a remaster that I didn't already buy.
Never played the original. 😆
Yep. I'll get it. Loved the game, it was essentially the lost Ghostbusters sequel that was never made with all the talent from the movies.. I don't recall any other videogame that has had such a thing. It's definately a lost gem in time.
I got the X360 version over the PS3 version at the time as it was a better running game, but I loaned it out to someone and never got it back. Looking forward to improvements in this one! Def Buy!
