Bluepoint Games is making a “big game” for the PlayStation 5, which we expect to be Demon’s Souls Remake. Of course, nothing’s been confirmed at this stage, and the Texas-based developer is having fun with all of the speculation. In order to celebrate Halloween, it’s composed a tweet which somehow manages to reference at least seven PlayStation associated franchises.
The referenced franchises include:
- Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
- Demon’s Souls
- Metal Gear Solid
- Resistance
- Syphon Filter
- The Legend of Dragoon
- Twisted Metal
What kind of remake are you hoping Bluepoint Games is working on for the PS5? Try not to get too excited in the comments section below.

Guess they are working on PlayStation All Stars 2 then
Mr Domino or Kurushi.
It's worth noting that Bluepoint rarely tweets anything.
Also some could be vague but I think there's more references including;
Jak & Daxter ("Eco"-friendly)
Ico (Black Monsters)
Shadow of the Colossus ("Wander", return from "shadow")
Silent "Hills"
Oh man.. if they remake MGS, I'll... I'll just...
Well, I'll buy it.
It's got to be a new Eye-Toy game
@Danny_C I Think The Metal Gear Games That Needs A Remake The Most Are The Original 2 but I Guess Without Kojima That Can't Happen
@Areus well, not really. kojima doesn't own the rights, its really up to konami themselves, but i doubt they'll do anything decent with the franchise. bluepoint totally could remake it, if konami would let them
Poor Souls... The Demons are out
Whatever they’re working on, can’t wait to see footage of it.
@viciousarcanum Jak & Daxter! I knew the “eco” was related to something but I couldn’t place it. You’re right.
**** it, remake all of them.
Knack remake ????
@ShogunRok at this point I believe they're good enough to do it!
But what if
Bluepoint is remaking Demon's Souls and it'll feature costumes from various franchises?
This is obviously a CoolMathGames remaster hidden message.
Syphon filter for the win.word up son
The answer is all of them 😃
@Deadlyblack this is something I wish Sony took notes from Nintendo, collaborating with devs to incorporate their IP into other games.
I wouldn't say no to a Demon's Souls remake (and it probably is that) but if it was Syphon Filter or Jak & Daxter, i'd be over the moon.
Hell, whilst i'm dreaming, an Ape Escape remake would be awesome too, but that really is pushing it lol
Have they ever made a original ip? Just wondering because they seem like some very talented people. Dont get me wrong i love old great games getting remade, but would be cool to see what they could come up with.
@Optimusultimus I'am Talking About Story Wise Metal Gear And Metal Gear 2 Soild Snake Were Made In The Late 80's And Are So Old And Outdated That Most Of It Was Retconed By The Later Games
Imagine if they're making all of them as PS5 launch titles and you get one of your choosing free with the PS5. Obviously not the case but I love the idea.
One could also look at the first 2 words as a hint of a frequently requested Sony shooter series. 😏
@ShogunRok I was thinking the same, all boxed together ‘The Sony Classic Collection’.
I’ll say what I always say when Bluepoint comes up, Metal Gear Solid or I riot. Haha.
Give me MGS already god darn it!
Knack remake is on
It's obviously a Lemmings remake. You heard it here first peeps.
@ellsworth004 actually yes they did a game called Blast Factor back on the PS3
its time for a remake of the first Metal Gear Solid game thats for sure.
that's some clever trolling.
Symphony of the Night Remake?
wow - that would be - something else
I would LOVE a MGS1 remake Or just make the PS5 read my old PS1 discs and that would be AMAZING I doubt it will tho
@playstation1995 yes yes yes
I would give my bleeding heart for legend of dragoon!
i would take ANY of the listed franchises over demons' souls. please don't be demons' souls! legend of dragoon would be shocking (in a good way, even though i'm not a fan of the original), but i want syphon filter more than anything else at this point.
“not one, but two - return from shadow” Does this mean they are working on 2 titles?
