Crash Bandicoot buses are popping up all over the UK, as part of a massive PlayStation promotion in the nation. The gigantic banner advertisements feature a fresh render of the contrary ‘coot, complete with the slogan ‘It’s Time to Play’. There are similar liveries being used throughout the country featuring Kratos, too.
Of course, this is noteworthy for a few reasons: Crash Bandicoot isn’t a PlayStation franchise first and foremost, so it’s fascinating that the platform holder is featuring him so heavily. Could a new title be on the horizon? Secondly, it speaks to the popularity of the character in the UK, where he’s something of an icon on these shores.

New Crash platformer please. Can't believe it's been nearly 20 years (Twinsanity doesn't count)
Just in time for Christmas.
Love a good bus livery. Currently in Glasgow we have buses with classic liveries in service, which you can spot all across the city. It’s pretty neat, some of them are designs from way back in time.
Funny how thing come full circle when Crash is used to sell PlayStations again.
I saw one of these whilst up in Newcastle recently. Whey aye man.
looks like the 142 bus in Manchester, jump aboard for a trip to Spice World, not the Spice Girls movie
The fact Crash is not a PlayStation exclusive franchise is an absolute travesty.
When will the wizard at the back of the bus be in CTR NF?
Also, I hope we get a new Crash game. Both the N. Sane Trilogy and Nitro Fueled sold well enough to warrant a new adventure.
@j_Colgy I agree and disagree.
Having a kid friendly mascot for each console was fun at the time (Sega had Sonic, Nintendo had Mario and Sony had Crash) but as Sega are now out of the console wars and Microsoft joined and the mascot battle lines got blurred.
We now have Sonic on all consoles and Xbox doesn’t have a kid friendly mascot and so now it feels okay that games like Spyro and Crash are cross platform just as Sega’s franchises are.
Nintendo is now the only one with the kid friendly mascot and that might show the direction of the companies. Sony is more focused on adult gamers whilst Nintendo still focuses on kids.
It's an ad on the side of a bus. It's hardly a "bandicoot bus"...
I've stopped believing slogans on buses.
Perhaps this will restore my faith in them?
@mini_piekarnik
Take all the likes for your pro pic Love that movie hahahaha
First Brexit bus, now this.
I saw a God of War one and my wife and kids wondered why I shouted out 'BOY' when I saw it.
Saw one of these in Edinburgh today, also a weird generic football/fifa one with ps advert. Doesn't seem to be linked to exclusives
Not a character that ever really appealed to me, personally. I remember playing a demo on PS1 and actually quite disliking it. And while the nostalgia itself appealed, I didn't really appreciate 'having' to play a level of it in Uncharted 4 either. 😁😐
