The very beginning of 2020 was already looking rather barren for video game releases, but Square Enix has gone and made the situation that little bit worse by delaying one of the few PlayStation 4 releases originally planned for January. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition has been pushed back from its original release date of 23rd January to the summer months later on in the year.
Announced on the official Final Fantasy Twitter account, the game has been delayed "to allow the development team some extra time to make final adjustments to the game to make this the best experience possible." To make up for the push back, the title will now support cross-save across the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and smartphone versions.

That cross save’s pretty cool, while I probably will only buy on one console, it means you could get stuck into the game when you’re away from home and then continue on your TV when you get back.
Oh no! What else will I have to play in the first half of 2020!
< Final Fantasy 7 Remake
< Persona 5 Royal
< Resident Evil 3 Remake
< Cyberpunk 2077
< Trials of Mana
< DOOM Eternal
< Animal Crossing
< Snack World
Oh.
Admittedly, cross-save is pretty cool.
I’m always disappointed when games get delayed, even if it’s a game I have no plans on buying.
I think CD Projekt Red’s method of not releasing an estimated time, unless 100% confident it will pull through, is the best approach.
Hate to say, but SE has a history of delaying games. I think they should take a page out of CDprojekt Red.
