What if Fortnite looked a bit more like, say, Jet Set Radio or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? That’s basically the elevator pitch for Spellbreak, a brand new Battle Royale set to enter closed beta in Spring 2020. This is a fantasy-inspired game, so expect more Realm Royale than PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds; its artstyle really does separate it from its immediate competition, though.
“We took our inspiration from old-school shooters with skill shots and crazy mobility and we added in some modern twists to make a combat system that truly embodies fantasy action spellcasting,” developer Proletariat’s Seth Sivak said. “Add to that our spin on battle royale with elements of rogue-like games and RPGs, along with a gorgeous art style, and you have something we feel is totally unique.”

Alright... Too bad I'm not interested in BR games anymore, cool for those who are.
Well that's a minute and sixteen seconds I'll never get back of my life 🙄
As someone who hates BR games I've really enjoyed the small amounts I've played of the alpha and beta of this on pc. Bad idea to paywall the beta on PS4 behind founders packs though. Charging people to test games is an obnoxious practice.
Its a pity such a great styled game is wasted on BR. 😩
