They may have originally released in 1993 and 1994 respectively, but DOOM and DOOM 2 have just received a beefy update on the PlayStation 4. The headline addition is 60 frames-per-second support, upping the framerate from its original (and, by modern standards, unusual) 35 frames-per-second. Bethesda’s also making a curated list of add-ons available from each of the releases’ main menus.
Other improvements include the addition of a Quick Save option, as well as various quality of life enhancements, such as brightness options and improved Level Select functionality. The patch for both titles is available to download now, and should automatically download if you have either of the games installed.

Good news, I was hoping for online co-op though.
Would love to see a retail Doom Collection that would also include the upcoming Doom 64!! That would be sweet! 😊
Can you play these off-line now?
Finally. Guess I'll finally get around to picking these up.
@Ryall That fix went live weeks ago, I believe.
After smashing around 100 retro games over the last few weeks there are only a handful worth your time today.
Doom is one of the few which holds up today. The puzzles are brilliant and not having to aim up or down is ace for accuracy. Looks a bit rubbish tbh but the gameplay is so so good. Surprising why we don't get similar paced games today, perfect as is.
Nice to hear...
But I'm still sticking with the PS3 collection (now relisted).
I thought they recently patched Final Doom into these modern releases?
If they bundle all of these games together and add Doom 64, I'm all in!
