E3 2020 has been cancelled and it looks like those who were planning on putting together a live press conference will instead choose to go the digital route en masse. Following in the footsteps of the Nintendo Direct and Sony's State of Play livestreams, French publisher Ubisoft has stated that it is exploring a "digital experience" that will play host to the announcements it has planned.
Revealed in a tweet, it said: "We're exploring other options for a digital experience that will allow us to share all the exciting news we have planned, stay tuned for more!"
While we don't know what Ubisoft has planned for this digital showcase, the likes of Assassin's Creed 2020, a new Far Cry game, and release dates for the likes of Watch Dogs Legion and Gods & Monsters will most likely take up much of the running time. We'll be sure to confirm the publisher's plans whenever it decides to reveal more information between now and June, so make sure to come back to Push Square for news over the months ahead.

What's the betting that they will still find a way to do a Just Dance number.
Ubi head honcho - Hey marketing guy, go put a video on Yotube, but make it sound really important.

Whether ubisoft make e3 liveshow or digital event the result for most gamer is the same, they'll watch it on youtube. So I think games industry better learn to make great online shows to replace e3 because in the end, all gamer want is preview of a cool new games.
@AdamNovice about 1000%
Ms doing that too
