Fallout 76 Is Free to Play on PS4 This Weekend

They could make it free for life and I still wouldn't touch this piece of crap with a ten foot pole.

Not even if they paid me.

A step in the right direction but it needs to go beyond being free, with Bethesda paying me to play it. My rate is £50 per hour for a game of this quality.

I got back into it after a pretty long hiatus and I’m enjoying it. Yea it’s still buggy but what Fallout game isn’t? The setting of the series keeps bringing me back, and the additions they’ve made are solid in my opinion. Nothing beats exploring the wasteland

It's nice to see everybody ripping this game. I'm normally really forgiving when it comes to games. I've dealt with the bugs in the Elder Scrolls games, I've dealt with the bugs in the Fallout games, and I'm OK with Fallout 4, but there are limits.

Normally those limits are hit with heartless cash ins, live service, content lite, premium priced F2P, trend chasing, microtransaction riddled, audience misreading, or bait and switch tactics.

Fallout 76 was all of those things.

No thank you...

haha so what? I wouldn't play this even if Jim Ryan came up to me and said that the reward would be a sneak peek at the final form factor of the PS5 (im not joking)

My free time is too expensive to play this.

I downloaded all 80 gigs of this before the free weekend last summer and it was an absolutely miserable experience. Maybe they've tightened it up a lot since then but it'd still have to be permanently free-to-play to get me interested now.

They won't let me play games at work...and I'm always at work.

@Arugula @Futureshark Ever since Destiny 1, I've seen these types of games coming a mile off. Our group bought the legion edition (I think that's the name) of Anthem for like £5-6, it seems like a decent deal, so far.

I don't see why I would bother the download time, storage room and time overal to play this, at all :3

Bring on the PS5. Perhaps then Bethesda can start outputting games with the graphical fidelity of a PS4 title.

Would rather cut my grass thanks which has better detail than 76s

@Futureshark For what it's worth, I still enjoyed Anthem as a game. The gameplay and combat was fun, and the world looked pretty. The full game wasn't any better than the beta, which was the problem.

Fallout 76, on the other hand, is a waste of space even in a trash heap.

I will give it a miss as I have 'pop up pirate' sitting there and i think it would be more fun!

No offline single player not proper fallout game like fallout new Vegas or fallout 3 fallout 4 crap
