There were blockbuster announcements during the PlayStation 5 reveal event, and then there were games like Bugsnax. Developed by Young Horses, the team behind the wonderful Octodad: Dadliest Catch, this bright-eyed, colourful game is heading to PS5, and it looks delicious.
It has the same lighthearted tone as Octodad and looks just as silly, based in a world inhabited by food that is also insects. Yeah, we don't know what's going on either.
There aren't really any further details to go on right now, so we'll just leave you with this daft trailer. What do you think of Bugsnax? Will you be playing this one on PS5? Grab yourself a snack in the comments section below.

This looked really bad imo.
Kero Kero Bonito on the music?
@Quintumply It’s almost as if you couldn’t even be bothered to report on this going by the article and I don’t blame you, you just know it’s going to be one of those games that’ll sell/review badly then forgotten about. Maybe one for the kids when it’s a few quid in a sale.
Really liked Octodad, but why the hell would you show this game at this event!?!?
Everyones biggest question... is the ps5 capable of running indie games?
Total waste of time which could of been filled with a better game or more gameplay on one of the others...felt embarrassed watching this to be honest.
Tbh this is one of the only games at this event that interested me. Don't know what that says about me
Looked absolutely terrible imo. Should of sjown a little more city surfing in spiderman instead of this.
@Abeedo To be fair, this one stood out more to me than most of the other ones as well. It is wierd, but I am genuinely interested.
................................................................................... I actually kind of liked this one..........................................
@MS7000 Yeah I felt the others focussed too much on graphics rather than interesting concepts and distinct visuals. Granted this could also be terrible but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt
@Orpheus79V Yeaaaa, I was totally zoned out on this game until KKB came on lol
Not AAA enough for some it would seem. We had this problem 7 years ago where people dismiss how important indies are.
@AdamNovice I remember the same reactions to Octodad when PS4 was coming out - same developer, funnily.
To me it looks like something i might enjoy, but it didn't showcase anything great. Graphics looked really dated. It could be a fun game, and it did stand out in the whole show, but for the wrong reasons.
Was that Lucy Lawless voicing the main bug thing? I got serious "So, you've gone dentist" vibes. Adventure time fans will know what I'm talking about.
@Abeedo It says you need a hug because you're scared.
@Orpheus79V @tameshiyaku The thing about Octodad was it was hilarious, especially if your first experience was with a few friends. I remember laughing throughout a good deal of the game. The trailer for this one didn't even get a giggle, sadly.
