Some of us were expecting a Godfall gameplay blowout during Sony's PS5 reveal event, but all we actually got was the brief trailer that we've embedded above. Still, the glimpse of gameplay that we do have looks very promising, as player characters hack, slash, and dodge their way through some cool looking enemies. The combat looks involved, and certainly has potential.
Hopefully we see more of Godfall soon, but until then, let us know if this PS5 launch title is on your radar in the comments section below.

it just doesn't meet my expectations for the next gen game
That song was horrible. Absolutely awful, and it almost singlehandedly ruined any hype for that game.
The spammy looking combat and Gearbox logo did the rest.
The music choice was awful, it didn't fit the atmosphere of the game at all. Boy going on about stretched limousines in some kind of Medieval/Gothic architecture world. They done the same with the Doom Eternal trailer - odd.
What the heck does that music have to do with the world they created? That was as distracting as that terrible MKXI trailer with the mumblerap track.
My God... That music killed completely all the little hype I had for this game.
It was like pouring ketchup over a chocolate donut...
Guess Im the only one that appreciated the music lol! Thought it looked good though!!
One of the few games that I thought didn’t look next gen at all. Tbh I’ve seen better on current gen. And as others have said, poor music choice it was totally irrelevant to the game/gameplay.
Worst reveal of the night for me. The trailer was waaaayy out of modern day expectations. I thought it was the mid 2000's again. I described it as the new gen flop gearbox release before they get to making more borderlands. Anyone remember battleborn? Exactly!
Looks stale and that it should of been a ps4 game. It just doesn't look next gen at all.
Obviously that music isn’t going to be in the game guys. It was just a poor decision to put it there. Would have been much better with the actual sound effects and maybe any dialogue.
Especially considering ps5 has such an amazing sounding 3D tempest engine powering the sound effects.
Still I love the idea I fighting together with 2 other players, god of war style.
Still on my day 1 purchase list. 😉
Hi there good people. So the music choice was not quite there, in my opinion, but the actual gameplay is. I still need to have a better feel of the game, but it could end up being quite good. A looter slasher, kinda like Ni-Oh 2 maybe? Who knows. But it still is on my radar for sure. Cheers and happy gaming to everyone
I have no problems of being the guy who said it first. This is gonna be free to play about two months after release. Trust me.
Terrible trailer, who the heck decided that music was a good fit?
Couldn't have been a bigger mismatch since the Maccarena came on at my nans funeral.
Nope, still looks boring and generic more so with other games showing
Seems push square are the only people who like it, everyone sees it for what it is, garbage!
@Constable_What
I thing a Gothic rock soundtrack would have gone better tbh.
@Constable_What The music was really bad i totally agree.
@arnoldlayne83 It totally takes away the vibe i cant agree more.
The music is awful, what the heck gearbox is thinking, the first trailer music (in vga) is way better than this 😕
This is without doubt going to be reduced to bargain bins within months, looks so stiff and unenjoyable.
And that music? Didn't fit AT ALL.
Looks like a cross between dark souls and Dynasty Warriors, but not the best of both. Will wait and see.
I quite like the music, I noticed that they had timed the beats of the song to when the character was hitting an enemy, which I appreciated. Need to know and see a bit more before making a judgement on it, which some seem really eager to write off for some reason.
@redd214 I completely agree! The music fit nicely!! Great game play! Lots of action and slashing! I was literally off da edge of the couch! Definitely a buy for me! Hope they show more!
Hilarious music but I admit it was very catchy, might still give the game a try down the line.
With that music choice, they must have had a take your kids to work day and their children worked on the trailer
Terrible terrible terrible music choice, who are they aiming this game at? 12 year old Wanna be roadmen?
