The official PlayStation 5 hardware reveal trailer is now PlayStation's most liked YouTube video ever, suggesting that the console's unorthodox design isn't anywhere near as divisive as certain corners of the internet would have you believe.
The trailer currently sits at a whopping 22 million views, but the impressive part is the like-dislike ratio. It's got 1.1 million likes -- again, the most liked video on the company's entire channel -- and only 48,000 dislikes.

When I first saw it I really wasn’t sure about the design. But it’s really after growing on me. It’s just so different to anything else.
I'm still not sure, but I am amazed at how many people I know who love it. Personally think this is the ugliest generation of consoles ever... but hey, that's subjective...
Anyone else think the PS5 might be water cooled?
It makes you think, in our core gamer circles there are probably a significant number of people who don't like the design at all. But out in the wild it doesn't seem to be as much of an issue.
If they get the price right on this thing it will crush at retail this Christmas.
And personally I love how it looks. Those lights will go nicely with a hue lighting setup.

I echo the opinion that the PS5's design is growing on me. I think this might be the first PlayStation console I set up vertically.

@Neolit Yeah, you're right. I mean personally I'm not massively keen on it either (although I am getting used to it now), but more "casuals" I've spoken to immediately think it's awesome.
I think this is the first time I see 1M (now 1.1M!) likes on gaming video on youtube, that's crazy yo.
The reveal video is masterful, from the suspense, music, graphics, the teasing (will they reveal it or it's only a tease?), and in the end the ps5 design itself is striking, you may like it or not, but it's eye cathing and the design is conversation starter. And it looks expensive, and most comment in youtube is saying that as well.
@wiiware totally agree... Whether you like the look of the console or not the reveal video was crafted superbly. Building suspense to the point of actually revealing something worthy of it!
I hope I don't experience issues pre-ordering. Considering how popular it was I feel people will line up to purchase the console.

From the first second I was so happy just like when I saw the PSX Uncharted 4 gameplay reveal.
This is the box we getting - so went proactive on Sunday
Ran new cables to move our router from behind the TV over to the other wall. Make room for the PS5 behind the TV. Problem solved
Now they can move on to price and actual release dates for the games they showed.
I loved it the second I saw it! I found ps2, ps3 and ps4 designs bland and uninspiring. Ps1 was a bit more exciting.
When I first saw it, I was like NOPE. Now I think I'm in love with it. 😂😂😂
I LOVE IT! And it is lo e from the 1st sight.
I have never thought or cared what the console looked like because they have always been a plain black or gray box. I never told anyone to come look at my PlayStation console. It was always let me show you my games. PS5's Artistic style is a reason to want to show the console off itself.
