Gets a new gameplay trailer
The next instalment in the long running Ys series will be coming West in 2021 on PlayStation 4. Ys IX: Monstrum Nox got a new gameplay trailer during the New Game+ Expo, and it looks as frantic as you'd expect.
We've still got a while to wait for this one, then, but at least Adol and the gang have got a release window to look forward to. Are you a Ys fan? Hack and slash your way through the comments section below.

Vita to Switch wasn’t the generational leap in graphics I was expecting in 2021. But I’ll take it. Looking good. I’ll definitely be getting this to play on my PS5.

Ys 8 is one of my favorite games (hence avatar and Nick name), this looks a bit more bland in graphics tho....
Ys VIII was awesome. Glad we finally heard about this.
Since they'll likely release simultaneously in the West, I'm curious to see how the PS4 and Switch versions perform.
Whilst i am excited to play it, i will miss having it on my vita. I also dont think it will have the character of 8. The island setting was fantastic
@Ryall I don't think graphically there is much difference between the two. Makes me wonder how amazing Vita would have been if it was launched now.

@Cloud39472 Simple its a way smaller company. Atleast it isnt a trainwreck story like Kingdom Hearts. And Dragon Quest is one of my favorites but the story isnt some special isnt it. Im happy they release it here with a complete package thats a rare thing too.
@Vix Hi there friend. Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim was an absolute blast when I played way back on the PSP. It was my very first Ys game and I realy enjoyed it. Because of that I got the PS Vita version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana and later got it from Steam. Very fun games. Cheers and have a good one
