We’ve seen a few scant seconds of the PlayStation 5’s user interface thus far, as Sony teased it during its next-gen reveal event. Brazilian animator and graphic artist Paulo Manso has taken it upon himself to expand upon the sample, creating a concept of what the system’s main menu could eventually look like.
It remains pretty consistent with the official footage that’s already been released, although it’s a little bit bouncy and over-animated for our tastes. One of the platform holder’s user experience employees recently revealed that the PS5’s UI is a complete overhaul, but while we’re eager to see how it looks, it’s new features like the integration of game menus into the system software itself that most interest us.

Looks way too pretty to be something like that aahahah, kinda wish it was like that though Paulo diz an amazing job.
Looks pretty nice......But it is getting ridicules that Sony hasn't showed the UI yet.
@Ah-Void Well MS have only just showed their UI so it's not that ridiculous.
We’re getting a media player on the PS5.
Wow a UI filled with last gen games, I thought I had my Switch for that 😛
It looks so good that I 100% expect the final product to not resemble any of it closely whatsoever!
I do expect it to look less cluttered than the PS4 Home screen at the very least. Hope they keep the zen music!
@nessisonett Hey that's not true! The Switch library is 85% games from 2-3 gens ago, 15% last gen lol
I wish that was the real thing. That looks mighty slick.
@TheFrenchiestFry Leave me to stir the pot in peace 😂😂
@nessisonett How many witches did it take to start "fire burn and cauldron bubble" in Macbeth?
QUICK! Sony should immiediately post full UI description video to prevent potential leaks!
I mean, like with that DualSense blog post...
Allegedly 3 months from release. No price. No pre-orders. Nothing on UI. Little on launch games. Little on anything.
But there’s haptic feedback, 3D stereo and a really, really fast SSD for the devs that use it.
Bad Sony. BAD SONY!
I'm starting to worry the consoles will be delayed.
@lacerz No Knack.
Looks like a PS4 theme
Why is everyone worried about PS5 being delayed? Sony has still plenty of time to show it off, the Switch had its teardown 2 months prior to its release. I'm sure the PS5 will have its teardown 2 months before release too.
I reckon Digital Foundry have a PS5 now so hopefully this week or next week we can see the real PS5 in the Flesh If not the UI then the Console it self
@oldschool1987 Don't worry, it's a fact. And if it is released, than unfinished or with almost no games. ☺️ @lacerz... rather Stupid SONY! Stupid SONY!
@nessisonett
More like xbox's shtick atm, between being obsessed with hardware and old games, their currently library is suffering. Besides, if the new games look anything like halo infinite, that's probably a good thing lmfao.
@lacerz
So pretty much xbox atm, besides the whole 3F audio and UI, of course. Chill. COVID had a huge part to play in this console chess game and neither console is benefiting from the situation, but it looks like Sony are more prepared. Again, this correlates with what we seen this gen at E3 when Sony skipped it, baring in mind they had their first parties lined up and were working on PS5, meanwhile xbox were hyping 3rd parties and doing the usual damage control.
@lacerz ((((
It looks sleek, but too similar to the original PS4 layout.
I'd prefer something fresh, new and innovative in terms of the way we navigate the console.
Well, I hope it looks much better than that.
@Octane No Knack? Bruuuhh.
Looks cool! Crazy thing is that we don’t know what the designers & engineers have up their sleeve so it could very well be completely different than what we all think or assume it’ll look like in our head (what we saw was just the initial greeting screen after all) ...but then once we see a full reveal and breakdown everything will click. Take for instance the PS5 dev kit, everyone was posting concepts based on that and what they think will signify a futuristic or next-gen console. But nobody could have predicted the final design.
@djlard OK? Lol
@oldschool1987 😀
