Here's a bit of a weird one for you -- there's a brand new release on PlayStation 3 this week. Shakedown: Hawaii, which released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita last year, is being ported to Sony's old console because, well, Vblank Entertainment can. If you already own the game on a PlayStation system, then the PS3 version will be completely free via cross-buy and you'll be able to synchronize your saves between the two versions. Neat!
Shakedown: Hawaii will also be launching on the Wii U and Nintendo Wii, meaning these launches on discontinued consoles must be a bit of a laugh for the developer. The team's previous game, Retro City Rampage, did a similar thing as it came to PSP and DOS of all things back in 2012.
Would you be willing to check Shakedown: Hawaii out on PS3? Let us know in the comments below.

Wow! That’s crazy.
I’m loving these ports, if they can do it then why not!
Was more than surprised to see this pop up on twitter, but good on him for pulling off such an achievement! Rather see something like this as a PS3 swansong vs a legacy Fifa title!
And making it a crossbuy to boot-what 505,Square Enix,or Take Two seem incapable of,a small indie can!
For those wondering how long for PS4 will continue to get new games. On this evidence basically forever. They will just get progressively more and more indy.
Just looked at the screenshots of the actual game.
It can be ported even on SNES if necessary. Or Sega Megadrive.
Still some life in the PS3, Wii U too apparently.
Day one purchase for my PS3. The Vita version will be a nice perk for me too. Nice to see some 7th gen love in this day and age! Shame there isn't a physical release for PS3 but with Wii and Wii U getting a print, it's hard to complain
I didn’t know Wii could get digital releases anymore. That’s honestly hilarious.
Ps3 was the best PlayStation, free online play, HD widescreen gaming, blu-ray playback, full backwards compatibility, (at launch at least). Sure it was expensive but it was worth every penny
Far out!
Still waiting for RCR to be released on the C64
I don't get the motive, I guess it's kinda publicity but hardly to any real extent to justifying the port as far as I can tell anyway
@Netbean my feelings exactly, ps3 was a great experience
@SaikoWaifu2003 I'm not so sure. We still have a PS3 because the 4 isn't backwards compatible and it still gets fired up once a week or so for the significantly better version of Bomberman ('Ultra' rather than the 4's tepid 'R') and the various other split screen/multiplayer titles.
And let's face it, a game like this is hardly pushing the PS4's APU to its max so if it can be done, why not?
Since I don't have the game and have a Wii U with like only 12 games, might as well see what that version is like.
Have the Switch Collectors set & waiting on the PS4 copy to arrive. Wii version sold out though 😕 Shooting for Wii U next week! PS4 I also own Digital so PS3 I’ll just download- small file for a game that packs a good GTA style romp!
