Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will have a number of performance options on PS5, Capcom has confirmed. For starters, you'll be able to enable ray-tracing, allowing for things like real-time reflections in water and reflective surfaces. Once enabled, you can choose between 4K at 30 frames-per-second (Devil May Cry at 30fps? Ew!) or 1080p at 60 frames-per-second.
Again, these options are with ray-tracing enabled. Without it, we imagine that you'll be able to play with 4K support at 60fps, as is already the case on PS4 Pro.
There's more, however. Assuming you have a TV or display that supports it, you can kick the frame rate all the way up to 120fps. This comes as part of the game's High Frame Rate mode, which is otherwise 60fps.
Sound good? Rock out in the comments section below.

hope there's a free upgrade for those that already own it
@johnny30 It's going to be paid DLC for the last gen versions at a later date
@TheFrenchiestFry glad to hear, i already have the digital deluxe version on ps4
I am pleasantly motivated
Seriously this as a launch title is a massive get. Day one.
"(Devil May Cry at 30fps? Ew!)"
That should be everyone's reaction to any game for PS5 that's stuck with 30fps ๐ it certainly will be mine.
As for DMCV I think 1080p 60fps with ray tracing will be most people's choice. I hope it gets some new trophies so I can get it sooner.
@johnny30 The Special Edition is a standalone digital game โ no free upgrade from Devil May Cry 5 on PS4, sadly.
Is it going to have the weird butt light censoring?
I already bought dmc 5, itโs suck if thereโs no upgrade path for this version ๐
