Destruction AllStars is predominantly a competitive multiplayer experience, but there’s still a single player series for you to work your way through. Revealed courtesy of the official PlayStation website, you’ll be able to “master over 50 events to prove yourself a Destruction legend”. The page adds: “Unlock new skins, emotes, and banners as you take on AI rivals in momentous challenges spread across the five global arenas.”
A selection of new screenshots embedded above showcase the kind of visual feast you can expect come launch, which is filled with sparks and crumpled metal. Remember, the title blends vehicular carnage with on-foot parkour, and in the online mode you’ll battle against persistent rivals and “experience new limited-time rule twists in Special Events”. We’re still waiting for new gameplay footage of this release, but developer Lucid Games has promised all will be revealed soon.

I can’t see this not being a Plus launch title?
A big ol' meh.
I got hyped for like 5 seconds when this game got announced thinking it was a new Twisted Metal
This looks whatever honestly.
It’s a game. It definitely is a game that will come out. That’s all I’ve got.
It's like Rocket League, Twisted Metal and Hyperscape had a baby... Single player mode is a great bonus! Need to see gameplay but on paper this looks fun!
All sparks will burn out - Editors.
I feel so bad for the developers. It's not their fault this game's business decisions are going to drive some people away who were initially sold on the idea of Twisted Metal meets Fortnite.
I think the gameplay sounds entertaining. I'm looking forward to some footage.
screenshots are fine and all but where is the gameplay ? :S
@get2sammyb "the gameplay SOUNDS entertaining", it's sad that it's all we've got right now ^^
@nessisonett whoa who's that on your avatar?
Maybe because of my love for Twisted Metal I am very curious about this title and hope it’s a lot of fun!

Think it would be good to just give this free as a plus game, from what little we have seen it looks fun, but honestly not going to be paying full price for this, hopefully we get more information about it and may change my mind who knows wait and see I guess, but with all that's available at launch and upcoming games think plus would be the best way forward and make plus subscribers a bit happy for a ps5 game on plus straight away.
I want to play this, but not at £70.
I think this will do well , might get a sequel
At least it's pretty.
Looks fun but I will never pay 70€ for this, sorry guys. Should be part of PS+ first day on PS5 in my opinion. I'm sorry for the devs for Sony's business practices.
This is one of the few times I think that a PlayStation exclusive should be multiplat, this game has no future as everything stands.
I feel like a Twisted Metal game should have been made here. At least have Sweet Tooth in the game. But otherwise, they need to make this a PS Plus game big time. It looks to be a failure otherwise.
A 70 dollar Multiplayer focused launch game? Sony are you high? This game will be dead on arrival.
Inb4 $120 digital deluxe edition with 12 skins, home screen theme, and Dante from Devil May Cry Series.
Gameplay footage? Nope? Back to bed for me then.
This has got 'free with ps+ within six months' written all over it.
@Octane I think the devs at least deserve the respect to at least have the game come out before a "meh" is used in t sentence.
Just release some damn gameplay, show the gameplay loop. We're almost a month away from this. I mean that for most of the games. So secretive, so unnecessary. This game will be dead on arrival. The way it's been marketed hurts it so much.
