I already wanted this game, this solidified that. I can’t wait for a cat finisher move.

I have to be honest, this is the first really exciting thing I've seen from this game. And to be clear, I love Miles and think he deserves his own designed-from-the-ground-up outing rather than an offshoot of Pete's game.

It'll be interesting to compare and contrast performance between the different platforms. Digital Foundry is going to be really busy this November.

This, this is making me think about it again. The only issue is this. I haven't played it and I would need to play the first one. The business practices of the Ultimate edition and SM remastered does make me hesitant though. And that's a lot of Spider-Man, but it also means it could be overkill.

This game seems highly over priced. It genuinely feels like nothing but DLC, and not even impressive DLC. Just a new skin in the same old city with the same old moves. I love the spiderman game, but I'd much rather replay that than spend 50 bucks on this "new" game.
That said, I hope I'm wrong and there's plenty to make this adventure feel fresh.

Loved this trailer. From the warehouse transitioning to the Raytracing in front of the shop and of course the Spider-Cat moments. Best Game Informer video showcasing this game yet.

@get2sammyb once seen it cannot be unseen, there's no such thing as "cats aside" and not that I needed another reason to get the game but yes...

@sketchturner Miles has a full suite of new moves (venom attacks, invisibility), he's a new character model with new "less confident" swinging animations, there's a new fully voiced and acted story (even if it's 8 hours, that's longer than some games), there's the new crime app to stop you swinging through the city for ages waiting for a police scanner crime to pop up like the original, and they've reskinned the entire city of New York. To me, that all sounds like enough to justify a full sequel! It's still a game in the Spider-Man series so it has to be vaguely similar to the first one. Short of changing the location (and to me New York = Spider-Man 100%) what more could you want?

Whilst the SSD (along with the controller) is high on my hype list, I think it more likely that the extra memory simply allows for the inside of the warehouse to be added to the immediate outside surroundings, meaning no loading necessary at all.
I’ll be interesting to see how this is handled on the PS4 version, on a machine that always had to separately load each internal/external environment each time you entered or left a building.

OK this game just keeps getting better and better. The cat is fantastic but also just wow, the game looks stunning. The quality of the lighting and that transition from the warehouse back to the open world are sooo nice. Really looking forward to it.

wow you and I have a very similar thought process. I have the Spider-man GOTY edition ready to go for PS5 and will most likely wait to get SM: MM at a later date. The whole $70 limited edition for a remaster was just too anti-consumer for me to ignore; it was EA in it's heyday level of scummy.
