WRC 9 is already doing laps on PlayStation 4, but it's worth remembering it's also coming to PS5 on day one. The solid rally racing title is making the jump to next-gen, and you can see what this version looks like in the trailer embedded above.
It's not the best PS5 showcase, but it certainly looks like a step up from the PS4 version. Perhaps the most noticeable difference is performance; the game is running at dynamic 4K and a smooth 60 frames per second in this PS5 footage.
What do you think of WRC 9's next-gen visuals? Will you be picking this up with your PS5? Don't cut in the comments section below.

I've been playing Dirt Rally 2.0 for ages, but now that WRC finally seems to step it up and deliver 60fps I might give that a go again.
Wow, that lighting is beautiful. Thatโs honestly what Iโm looking forward to the most, proper lighting advancements. Always good for photo modes.
@nessisonett indeed. Very nice lightning.
Looks beautiful but also kinda... slow? Not sure, wonder if it's 120fps slowed down to 60 so you can see every frame, since YT doesn't support 120.
Nah man not yet....possibly next year I need to see Pro Evolution Soccer running on it 1st before I commit........if I can not edit kits I may look elsewhere.........and yes I did buy the PS4 for that reason.
Just popping in to say that looks pretty. Whether it's ray traced or not isn't really the point, those frames look nice.
The car models themselves and the lighting look epic, the environments less so. Gameplay looks right for rallying too. My only real issue is during the bonnet-view camera sections, where all the decals and livery are super jaggy and low-res. If you know you're putting a close up camera on them, maybe some localised high res assets would be a good plan?
@NeuralDeclan yeah, the environments don't look "great" but it's a current gen game that has essentially been upscaled I guess. They're not the biggest team in the world either, and the over all frame quality looks nice.
@SirAngry yeah the shot of the barn coming up on the left looked particularly poor imo.
It's a cross-gen title...๐๐
Am i the only one who can't see any difference between this and dirt 2.0? If it wasn't for the header being wrc ps5 i would have thought it was dirt 2.0..yeah nice lighting and reflections but its nothing the ps4 couldnt handle tbh..
I'll likely be playing Dirt 5 instead.
The lighting pops up to me, but it doesn't wow me. I notice the 60 fps it seems...
Also, what is up with that Spider-Man like music lol
Nice lighting, but like games before it the scenery looks flat and lifeless.
Looks good, the WRC games have been a bit lacking last few years but hopefully this one plays great. Will play this eventually I'm sure.
@Grimwood you have to start somewhere. this looks better than PS4. PS4 stuff looked better than PS3 when it first came out and so on. Thank goodness most people are happy with iterative improvements or we would all still be playing PS1 quality games.
Looks good. TDU3 will be ok
Is this definitely being released on launch day for PS5 as on Amazon UK and Base.com it just simply says 31st December, the standard date they put when they're not sure of the release date.....
