How can you possibly predict the unpredictable? 2020 has, for every person on the planet, been the most bizarre year imaginable – and now, as we look forward to 2021, it’s almost impossible to imagine what the future holds. The show must go on, nevertheless, and our annual PlayStation predictions are part of the New Year ritual here at Push Square. Here’s what we’re expecting from the coming 12 months.
Sammy Barker, Editor
E3 is over. Who knows what the state of the world will be next summer? Not me, that’s for sure. Nevertheless, even if it is safe to hold conventions in June – I don’t think it will be – I think E3 is done. You may recall, before the coronavirus pandemic ultimately pulled the plug, that many companies were backing out of E3 2020. I argued at the time that it may have been a blessing in disguise. But now I think the show is done for good: publishers have proven this year that they’re better off announcing games on their own terms, and there’s just no real purpose for this event anymore. COVID-19 will ultimately determine whether there’s a show in 2021, but I think moving forward this annual industry bonanza has had its day.
Starfield gets a full-price PS5 release a month after Xbox. The thing is, at the time of writing, Microsoft still hasn’t officially acquired Bethesda yet, and I believe Starfield is scheduled to release in 2021. With both Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, the company didn’t officially debut them until around six months before launch, so my guess is that this is almost finished. And, up until a few months ago, the firm would have been planning to release it on the PS5 – there was even talk that Sony was trying to secure it as a timed exclusive – therefore I reckon a lot of the work has already been done. The outcome? The game will still launch on PS5, it’ll just come a month late, with minimal marketing support, and you’ll obviously have to pay full price for it, rather than get it as part of a subscription. Better than nothing?
It's a big year for Uncharted. Oh, you think Sony’s done with Uncharted? You’re absolutely off your rocker. This is one of PlayStation’s most popular intellectual properties, and it’s not like there’s a new one every year – heck, the previous instalment launched in 2017, which is a lifetime in this industry. A new Uncharted game is definitely going to be announced this year for both the PS5 and PS4, and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it launched in time for the holidays. I expect its marketing to be closely associated with the Uncharted Movie, which will have a rating below 50% on Rotten Tomatoes but will be relatively well-received by fans. Speaking of the movie, by the way: don’t be surprised if it’s available to rent exclusively from the PS Store at the same time as it’s showing in cinemas.

Final Fantasy VII Remake gets an expanded re-release on PS5 (and other platforms). I'm not sure what it'll actually entail, but I think Final Fantasy VII Remake is getting some kind of enhanced re-release on PS5 in 2021. Maybe it'll have a section where you play as Sephiroth or something — a real fan-pleaser. I just feel like Square Enix has been suspiciously quiet since Remake's launch back in April. Obviously that team will have moved onto the sequel at this point, but I still can't see it leaving Remake alone — not when the publisher can capitalise on other platforms.
Final Fantasy XVI gets a November 2021 release date, then it's delayed into 2022. Look, I don't want to be a downer, but Square Enix is totally going to sell us a Final Fantasy XVI release date that ends up being way too early. While reports have said that the game's been in some form of development for at least four years, I think it's still a while off. But that won't stop the publisher from pumping out trailers and showing us gameplay well into the summer, before telling us all that it's arriving in November 2021. A few months later, it'll get delayed to Spring 2022, and we'll all shake our heads in unison. Can't wait to see more of the game, though.
We'll see Kratos ride a giant wolf in God of War Ragnarok gameplay. Here's my super specific prediction that'll make me look like a prophet if I get it right. Although I'm not convinced that it'll actually release this year, I do think we'll see some God of War Ragnarok gameplay. And in this gameplay, we will, at some point, see Kratos ride on a giant wolf. Probably Skoll or Hati — the wolves that chase the sun and moon in Norse mythololgy — but let's not get too specific. The game's going to look insane, by the way.

The Bloodborne remaster is real, and it'll be announced and released in 2021. I'll confess, I'm not the biggest fan of Bloodborne. I very much appreciate it — the combat, the art direction, the bosses — but it isn't quite my cup of tea, personally. Even so, I understand the desire for a remaster (or even a sequel). This is one of PS4's best loved games, and it deserves the full treatment. You want to know why Sony has been so quiet on this game for so long? It's because it's getting a PS5 remaster, it's been in the works for ages, and it incorporates all the stuff you want; 60 frames-per-second, vastly reduced loading times, and beautiful 4K visuals. Book it, it's happening.
Spyro gets his turn with a brand new game. Activision has been pumping out gorgeous remakes of its beloved franchises, but in 2020, it went a step further with Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. Given that Spyro's retro remake collection followed the N. Sane Trilogy, I think a brand new title starring the little purple dragon is up next. I'd expect it to follow a similar pattern. This will be a numbered sequel following the events of Year of the Dragon, and its gameplay and structure will be akin to the original trilogy, albeit with some new features. I reckon Activision will announce this new Spyro game at some point in 2021.
MLB The Show 21 is released on multiple platforms, and there will be memes. San Diego Studio's much celebrated baseball sim has been PlayStation exclusive for many years, but as we know, that's changing with the next game in the series. The Show 21 will be multi-platform, making an appearance on Microsoft and Nintendo's systems, as well as PC. My prediction is that the game's quality will vary from platform to platform, and this will lead to "hilarious" memes. The game will be under particular scrutiny because the series has always been of such a high standard, and any flaws found in a Series X or Switch version will be picked to pieces and spread online. I'm sure the game will be another great sporting sim, I just can't see the first multi-platform iteration getting by totally unscathed.

Elden Ring finally makes a comeback, but it won't launch in 2021. This has to be the year, right? The latest title out of FromSoftware has been missing in action for far, far too long at this point. I reckon a proper unveiling will take place in the first six months of 2021, although Elden Ring still won't be quite ready to hit store shelves. A release window of early 2022 will be confirmed before a final launch date is announced at The Game Awards. To add a little bit of extra spice to this prediction, the Chalice Dungeons seen in Bloodborne will return following a complete overhaul of their mechanics and design. Get it done, George R.R. Martin.
CD Projekt RED will release the first major piece of Cyberpunk 2077 DLC for free. It's almost impressive how the Polish studio managed to absolutely destroy its reputation in the space of a single week. As a result, the developer will do almost anything to win back the hearts of its formerly devout followers — that includes handing out the first big expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 free of charge. I'm not talking about the small pieces of DLC that supplemented The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at launch. This will be a large, story-focused expansion that introduces an all-new story to Night City. You won't pay a penny to access it, and the PS5 upgrade will launch on the very same day.
Sony offers a new subscription service that houses PS Plus and PS Now under one roof. The Japanese giant has recently stated it has news waiting in the wings that provides an answer to Microsoft's Game Pass service. This will be a new, optional subscription that combines everything PlayStation Plus has to offer with the complete PlayStation Now library. Sony will pledge to add more PS4 and PS5 games to the service on a speedier basis, but its first-party titles will not be part of the subscription from day one.
What do you think the future holds for PS5 and PS4? What are your big gaming predictions for 2021? What are you expecting to shock and surprise us this coming year? Lay it all out in the comments section below.
Comments 88
Please just consolidate PS Now and PS Plus. It’s an absolute mess at the minute.
A Dead Space remaster will be announced next year.
a specific GOW prediction from me aswell.
it will release as a holliday game for 2021 but it will be smaller in scale compared to the 2018 game. think lost legacy scale.
Sony absolutely have to consolidate their subscriptions, they risk falling behind in the changing market otherwise.
Shops will get more stock of PS5s! Yay 😀
Man, would I not love Elden Ring in 2021! I'd also like the prediction about God of War Ragnarok to be true. To hell with riding one, even, I just wanna see Santa Monica's imagination of Fenrir.
Ragnarok is coming...
My prediction is that they will release the Legend of Dragoon and if its real i will go mental.
I"m hoping for more accessibility features to be added to the PS5. Right now, the PS5 is currently less accessible than the PS4 which I find completely ridiculous.
Some predictions I have:
>God of War 2 gets delayed to 2022
>Sony purchases Bluepoint
>FFXVI gets a 2022 release date
>The long rumored Silent Hill game gets announced
>We get a reveal of Kojima's next project, but it won't be a PS console exclusive like DS
>Sony won't do another big PS5 State of Play until after May
Some of those prediction are rather funny and really unlikely. Nothing on Horizon Forbidden West? What about a Mario/Uncharted crossover? Sony buying more studios? Sony not being a bunch of a**holes anymore forbidding crossplay? What about a PS exclusive GTA spin-off with bows instead of guns and mammoths instead of cars?
Next Uncharted would be a system seller for me.
Cassie bringing up the next chapters!
Cannot wait for Elden Ring. Question, Bandai Namco, or Bamco as i like to call them, will handle the publishing of the game, correct?
There will be no Uncharted game next year. You heard it here first folks.
From soft announced Elden Ring was finished today so I'd say it will come in the first quarter.
Other prediction, because Destruction Allstars is now free it becomes a massive success like rocket league did.
Happy new year everyone!
@eltomo maybe the daughter of one of the thousands of men Drake killed on his adventures, tracks them down and bludgeons him and Elena to death in front of Cassie. Then Cassie turns to the dark side and goes after her, hellbent on avenging her parents deaths. Cassie kills a few hundred men herself before catching up with her parents killer. They have a fight in the sea and then she lets her go. The end 😉
In all seriousness, I would love another adventure with Drake. But I’m looking forward to a new Tomb Raider game more so.
I think E3 will happen again (not sure if it will happen in 2021), but its significance is going to be greatly diminished.
New Spyro game would make me so happy. The trilogy remake was excellent.
E3 is dead and that's probably a good thing ever since they wanted to start featuring more influencers.
I could see a new Uncharted, FF7R getting a PS5 and multi-plat release, Spyro getting a new game, Bloodborne remaster, and free Cyberpunk DLC.
Kratos riding a wolf doesn't seem that far off for some reason, especially since there's wolf mounts in AC Valhalla.
Also I really hope Sony does merge Plus and Now together for a bundle price.
Legend Of Dragoon remake by Bluepoint Games.
Make it happen.
Q : What are your big gaming predictions for 2021?
My answer : Well.... Dragon Quest Builders 3 and The Sims 5 for PS5 ?
Q : What are you expecting to shock and surprise us this coming year?
My answer : More girly games on PS4 like My Universe series with better gameplay and features. I really mean it, i really hope for more girly games for PS4 and PS5. Also, i really want games like Portal Knights and Dragon Quest Builders for PS5.
I hope the Spyro sequel is true. It makes so much sense after Crash 4, and there have been teases to it.
@Menchi I'm playing the original at the moment, and all I can say is yes! Or a sequel.
@fR_eeBritney
Sounds like a game of the year to me.
We need an article on future of PSVR...even speculation.
Sony's ban on PS5 PSVR games is puzzling and alarming.
When you kill something off, it's that much harder to ever bring it back again.
Mine, some specific predictions:
1: GoW 6 (Ragnarok) will keep "camera sway" nauseatic feature always on.
2: Cyberpunk will not get its lost hyped fame back.
3: Horizon 2 will be average game and will be in shadow of another game released in same window.
4: PS store messy design will stay unchanged until May.
5: FFXVI will not be released in another 2 years.
6: SONY will introduce 1TB ssd expansion disc for PS5.
I will be pleasantly surprised if Starfield releases in 2021, but my money's on 2022.
CD Project Red gets bought by Microsoft.
Plus merges with Now and costs more than either.
@ShaiHulud YES!!
Elden Ring in 2021 baby!!
1. Horizon Forbidden West launches in September, first gameplay shown in a February State of Play.
2. God of War Ragnarok delayed till 2022 but first gameplay shown in the summer.
3. The Last of Us Part 2 Remaster announced for PS5, comes with the multiplayer expansion which can be bought separately.
4. New Uncharted game announced, will feature a young Nathan Drake (but not tied with the film) and will focus more on exploration then combat.
5. Sony to acquire Bluepoint by March but no word on next game but heavily rumoured to be a Metal Gear Solid Remake.
6. Housemarque won't be bought by Sony due to Returnal flopping, Epic pick them up instead.
7. PlayStation Productions announce upcoming movies and TV shows based on Twisted Metal, Demon's Souls, WipEout, Sly Cooper and Gravity Rush.
8. Astro's Playroom gets expanded content for free.
9. Gran Turismo 7 releases in October.
10. Sony acquire or merge with the Kadakowa corporation as part of their big play into the anime industry after buying Crunchyroll, PlayStation will get Spike Chunsoft and FromSoftware.
Wishlists make it back to the PS online store.
Now and Plus rolled into one is what I want most from what was mentioned. Though I'm paid up on Now thru 2021 and plus thru 2022,movinh forward would love them to be in one. Kratos on a giant wolf sounds absolutely fantastic as well
1.) Biomutant finally releases and blows everyone’s socks off.
2.) Grand Theft Auto 5 re-enters the top 5 sales
3.) Geoff Keighley and Hideo Kojima transmorph into a single monstrous entity that feeds off of the various bodily fluids of the game awards’ record viewership and we all finally understand the true meaning of Inside.
Fantastic predictions! Especially from Sammy Parker and Robert Ramsey - 2021 is going to be a wild year
1/ Dying Light 2 finally gets a release date for late 2021.
2/ Ratchet And Clank releases for Ps5 early Feb.
3/Persona 6 is announced.
4/Persona 3 remake/remaster surprise is also announced.
5/Final Fantasy VII Remake PT 2 gets estimated release of late 2023.
I really want another Uncharted game and integration of PS Now and Plus. I'm getting the PS5 regardless, but those would definitely make me try to get it sooner.
My prediction is:
1. Sony will make more playstation 5 so that asian gamers can go to the physical store and take one easily.
2. I will have ps5 before the middle of this year.
3. By the time I have ps5, it's launch game will be discounted on psn.
😌
@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L
That will happen sooner then u think if what i read online about a certain upcoming game is true.
I predict an epic year for game enthusiasts, glass half full and all that 🙌
Syphon filter.parasite eve.sly cooper.resistance .metal slugs make a return on ps5.bluepoint.kojima.housemarque is a first party studio now.word up son
Prediction: Sony will make heaps of money because we will give it to them with both what we know is coming and what they surprise us with for 2021.
I think a new Spyro is likely, and I would be absolutely thrilled to see it! I also think it’s likely that Final Fantasy XVI will get delayed, but I personally feel like Square Enix has gotten a little better about the wait times in between announcements and release dates. It might still get announced for next year and then get delayed, but I would much rather have that than another situation like Kingdom Hearts III where it’s a 6 year wait after the announcement. I personally love Kingdom Hearts III, and in my opinion it delivered extremely well, but it took a long time to come out. I personally don’t think it will be that long of a wait for Final Fantasy XVI, and I do think it will end up being a very good entry in the Final Fantasy franchise.
I think a new Uncharted game is likely, but not guaranteed. I would hope that whichever developer handles a supposed new Uncharted game would take its time with it and refrain from rushing it. Hopefully, if we see a new Uncharted game, whichever developer working on it does it the absolute best they can without rushing it. I love all the Uncharted games made by Naughty Dog, but I’m not too sure it would be Naughty Dog handling a new one or not.
I also personally hope to see a PS5 enhanced version of Dreams. I think it would be wise of Media Molecule to take advantage of that, and maybe add some new features, in order to ensure the service stays around and relevant.
The only other thing I can think of that would really excite me would actually just be a port of Star Ocean: Second Evolution on PS4. We got Star Ocean: First Departure at the very end of 2019, and we have ports of all the other Star Ocean games on PS4 (except Blue Sphere, but I don’t think that’s going to happen), so I’m hopeful that Square Enix will announce it sometime next year. In my opinion, the Star Ocean games deserve a little more representation from Square Enix, as it’s a rather unique property of theirs.
We’ll have to wait and see, of course, but overall it’s looking like another exciting year of games announcements already.
Either God Of War 5 will be of smaller scale and cross-gen or full scale and on PS5 only.
Can we not get another Uncharted game? After 4 and Lost Legacy it's just going to feel like they're milking it. Especially when 4 was such a great send off for the series.
I just want triple A games for ps4. But if i can dream...
Legend of dragoon, xenogears and vagrant story remakes would be devastating.
I doubt we'll see news, let alone a release date, on starfield for 2021. I think 2022 is where well get news on starfield at the least.
I hope there's gonna be a new IP/resurrected franchise of any sort, sequels are great, but I think Sony needs something new to compete with all the anticipated games coming out for other systems. Possibly an FPS. Killzone 2 was extremely underated IMO, if Geurilla actually puts effort into them they can be great games, but alas. With Goddamn Perfect Dark coming out on Xbox and we know Metroid Prime 4 still exists at the very least. I think Sony needs to expand their pallet, which from the looks of it they are trying to do with new games like Returnal and Destruction All-Stars. High hopes for all consoles going into this year.
@Onigumo if we would hypothetically get a xenogears remake, it would definitely be multiplat for Switch and PlayStation, as Monolith is owned by Nintendo. But that would be awesome.
@Nepp67
I agree with you. I hope they don’t try to keep milking the franchise, as you said. Uncharted 4 really was an amazing send off for Nathan Drake. I guess if we did get a new Uncharted game, my hope is that it would focus on a different character like Uncharted: The Lost Legacy did, and that it would be handled well. Hopefully they won’t ruin future games just to make a quick cash grab.
@TheUltimateTruth101 Hmmm you sure seem clueless yourself gotta say...
Starfield in 2021! I think it's more of a 2024 title.
@TheUltimateTruth101 Again you're still clueless, your comment just shows it ain't worth arguing with you considering you're acting like an absolute fanboy.
🔥🔥 FLAME WARS!!!!!! 🔥🔥
🍔🍟 please continue...🍟🍔
TheUltimateIdiot101!
Starfield is at least two years away and TES VI three or four. Don't hold your breath!
Sony will be fine my friend, just fine.
Oh and no real predictions other than a hope that at some point in 2021 I'll get my hands on a PS5.
"the Chalice Dungeons seen in Bloodborne will return following a complete overhaul of their mechanics and design"
The Bloodborne IP is owned by Sony, and only made by From Software.
And Sony's keeping a firm hand on it, so, unfortunately, nothing from BB will be included in another game that's not a PS exclusive (that's partly why there are no BB-likes).
Aside from a direct sequel, a Remaster or a full Remake a la Bluepoint of the first game, the dungeons will remain an exclusive part of the existing BB game. From won't want to upset Sony, they have a good relationship going.
Besides, Elden Ring mimics Dark Souls, so they'll either stick to using something from that franchise, or invent something new (my money's on the latter).
@TheUltimateTruth101 Sure pal, whatever.
You prefer Xbox, good for you. Some people like crap things like reality TV shows and baseball. Others don't.
Seeing as you're in the former camp maybe you'd prefer the PureXbox site over this one. They like crap things there too!
😉
ergo, buy both.
PSVR Mk II would be most welcomed.
And a new Ridge Racer.
@TheUltimateTruth101
Did you get kicked off the xbox site? How can you say Naughty Dog is a bad studio? Maybe YOU, personally didn't like their game, but critics and users universally praised it as the greatest thing since sliced bread.
And on ignore you go!
Oh and a new Wipeout would be fab.
@TheUltimateTruth101 You're a bit of a div, aintcha !
It pissed me off when Microsoft bought Bethesda. Bethesda (though not recently) has made some of my all time favorites. It means I'm going to have to buy an xbox in addition to the ps5, and I had a 360, no make that 3 360's and all of them were P.O.S. that died in six months. That's why I switched to Play Station in the first place. I bought one base ps4 seven years ago, and it still runs like a champ.
@GamerDad66...... Don't worry or panic about PSVR future. It's not banned but not supported or de-actived on the Ps5 because the PSVR 2 is coming.
So it makes no sense to integrate the PSVR on PS5 cause it would derail the PSVR plans and possible attach rates.
Remember Sony entered last in the VR market and they were testing the waters but ended up dominating the market, they are the current VR leaders as the PSVR outsold all VR headsets on the market.
Also PSVR is the reason that Sony decided to discontinue Playstation Handheld concole and hence exit the handheld market, so instead of keeping on chasing Nintendo who have now become specialists in handheld /mobile console and are market leaders, it was better to drop the PSP/Vita and go after the market were you have entered last but have beaten everyone from Google, Nvidia, Facebook and a bunch of other VR sets makers.
I don't currently own a PSVR but I plan on getting a PSVR2 when Sony releases it.
They will never let a device that is a market leader in its market die like that.
PSVR is going to mainstream VR gaming.
@TheUltimateTruth101 You created an account here five hours ago and this is all you have to say? You're free to criticize Sony, but this just feels like trolling. Continue doing so and you won't have an account here for much longer.
@TheUltimateTruth101 See ya.
@TheUltimateTruth101....... You do realize that Bethesda games are not system sellers.
Actually the following games are systems selles: FIFA, COD, Gta,(a crap load off kids around the world and millions of casuals buy these games like bread each year and they buy the Playstation specifically to play them, why the f*** would Sony spend exclusive deal money with R* on a Ps3 game, cause it sells by the bucket loads and sell a shell load of Playstations and you can bet Sony has they fingers on the upcoming GTA 6) and also Fornite, Rocket League, Apex Legends).
A large majority of Bethesda games sold well on Ps4 with the rest of the sales being PC. MS buying Bethesda does not make the Xbox any attractive, cause the 3080 is $650 and the XBSX is $500 which means the logical option to play the next Bethesda games if they are not coming to PlayStation is on PC at their best performance.
Plus whatever happens Playstation has Spiderman and have that IP alone is enough to warrant shelling out $50p on a Ps5
@TheUltimateTruth101........ Studio Santa Monica just acquired the former Rockstar engine/ level programmers/designers.......
.... So wrong there ridiculous amounts of talent at Sony 1st party. And also if Cyberpunk 2077 represents the talent of the industry then I am fine with Sony's apparent talentless studios as I don't remember them releasing broken unfishined games or I have never seen them claiming a ps2 or ps3 game is a Ps5 game like 343 industries have been saying that embarrassment of a halo reach is a next gen Xbox Sx game and if that is what you mean by talented then MS first party is very talented but I'd stick with the talentless Gorilla who are about to release the gorgeous es Horizon Forbidden West on the majestic Decima engine..... They sure to lack talent don't they............. Stupid fool
Nah,i am more hyped for Guilty Gear strive.
Based on how accurate @get2sammyb was last year it's a shame I won't be able to play Starfield on the PS5 and that Uncharted will likely still be on hiatus for a while longer.
@nessisonett As someone who subscribes to PS+ but will never have any interest in anything like PSNow, I don't want this. I have zero interest in ever "streaming" a game. I want to own the disc, and put it in my machine, and I don't want to have to pay extra for something I'm never going to use.
@Unlucky13 You don’t have to stream the games. You can download all the PS4 games.
@GREGORIAN
Aren't you ignoring Microsoft's multi-platform strategy though? You're right that Series X will likely never sell on the same level as PS5, but those PC copies sold you mention - Microsoft gets that money too. They seem to be heavily focused on offering their games to the widest player base that they can including phones, which games seem to make stupid amounts of money on. It's why Fortnite and COD are on phones. I don't have Game Pass, but I hear nothing but positive things about it.
Also, in this economy $500 for either new console will be a lot more attractive to some than $650 for a PC graphics card.
@TheUltimateTruth101
Won't Sony continue to make acquisitions to make up these gaps you are talking about? You're also heavily discounting the first party studios they do have. These fights always ignore the wealth of indies and smaller titles across all platforms that are arguably just as important. They fill in the gaps while people wait for the next big budget blockbuster, and are honestly better than those AAA games sometimes in my opinion.
Like the content streaming wars you likely can't get all the content you want on one gaming platform if you are a gaming enthusiast.
@Flaming_Kaiser Hi there friend.
You and me both.
Loved that game back on the PSone.
Sony really needs to bring their games back in glorious 4K, 60fps.
Here´s my prediction:
Bluepoint will become a Sony Playstation first party studio and they will announce two projects; one is a brand new IP, the other........ Metal Gear Solid REMAKE!!!!!!
I can dream.
Cheers, stay safe and happy new gaming year to us all
@playstation1995 Hey there my man!
Syphon Filter could definetely be a thing.
Even though I really want Bend Studios to make a Days Gone sequel to continue the story, especialy after that ending, I would love for them to bring that franchise back.
It´s very possible indeed.
Cheers, stay safe and happy new gaming year.
Word up son!
@rachetmarvel Hi there firend.
A man(or woman) of culture I see.
Guilty gear Strive is going to be awesome.
Loved seeing Anji Mito coming back.
Also, can´t wait for the KOF XV gameplay trailer in a few days.
Great to see SNK making a comeback.
Cheers, stay safe and happy new gaming year
@RaZieLDaNtE. I agree with you bluepoint is going to be a first party studio.and i belie kojima a nd housemarque also.yes i need a syphon filter game.haha.happy new year to you playa.word up son
@GREGORIAN
I would argue that Fallout 1-4 and The Elder Scrolls games are among the highest selling games of all time. The only reason you wouldn't call them system sellers is because they were available across all platforms. If they become Microsoft Exclusive, then they do indeed become system sellers. The only reason I'm going to buy an xbox is for their games.
@Flaming_Kaiser That was my childhood 100%
@TheUltimateTruth101 Mmm love when you Xbox fan boys talk dirty, keep telling us how bad Sony exclusive games are. I'm ALMOST there!
@TheUltimateTruth101 Funny because this clown boy never played any of the games he crapped on. I LOVE when people s**t on games they've never played. Like how tf can you judge a game you've never touched? lol
@Wazeddie22 dying light 2! For the love of god what happened to this game
@nessisonett If it is the same price as PS+ is now, then fine. Otherwise, no thanks. I have not used PS Now, and don't intend to, so I don't want to pay for something I am not using. Leave them as seperate features.
1) More stories of PS5 and other accessories scaplers
2) The war between lovers and haters of TLOU2 wages on
3) Massive new following to Sony games after the release of Uncharted and TLOU (when it comes out)
4) Sony will only provide 2 games free each month a PS4 and PS5 (currently 2 PS4 and 1 PS5)
@TheUltimateTruth101
How is the wait going?
Also, don’t be surprised if Bethesda games are still multiplat... there is a reason that Bethesda will remain the publisher as opposed to all other first party being published by MS. IMHO the only reason MS bought/is buying Bethesda is to have their games in Gamepass day and date.
I predict that when/if that bombshell is announced, all you Xbot’s who have been crowing about Bethesda exclusivity and ‘rhetorically’ asking “why would MS buy a company and then not make their games exclusive?” will all of a sudden be fine with it and pretend that you never thought otherwise and resort to saying “well I get them free on Gamepass!” which you don’t as you pay a subscription.
Enjoy the wait.
@TheUltimateTruth101 what a ***** are you talking about? First party? What crap do you have? Gears, halo ( without bungie) and forza, maybe quantum break and sunset ouverdrive who are "ok" games. What we have? Bloodborne, the last of us, god of war, uncharted, spiderman, horizon zero dawn, ghost of tsukushima, dreams, ico, mlb and going on.
About strategy you should got your mouth shut off.
Classic xbox sales: 24 millions
ps2: 155 millions
xbox 360: 84 millions
ps3: 87
xbox one: About 50 millions
ps4: 115 milions
What the ***** do you guys know about salling consoles?
Bathesda will sale for ps4 because the beggars of xbox community dont buy games actually
uncharted doesn't work as well without nathan drake in my opinion, and naughty dog did their best to draw a definitive line under drake's story. continuing the series with side characters, or cassie, or young drake, especially if naughty dog is not involved, will probably invite unflattering comparisons.
sony has the (multiplatform) publisher rights for MLB, but i suspect that MLB: 2021 for the xbox and nintendo will have been outsourced for porting to other studios (as i'm not sure that sony san diego has the resources to do several versions all in-house).. so the quality between console editions may vary.
i think guerrilla will eventually delay horizon forbidden west until march 2022, and the PS5 version may have some kind of ultimate edition that comes with a remastered version of horizon zero dawn (similar to spiderman) which includes some of the enhancements of the PC version, and a 4K graphics mode or 60fps performance mode, etc.
