Interesting how it says the game might not be available depending on when you purchase RE Village. So is this MP mode a temporary thing or they are just saying like if you buy it years from now the ReVerse servers may not be online anymore?

Re: Verse; sounds like some versus type multiplayer mode.
Not what I would have hoped, I'd rather have a co-op multiplayer that can be played solo as well.
But we'll have to wait 6 more hours or so to see what it really is.

Not another tacked on multiplayer thats going to be half assed trash. Didn't they learn from the last one.

capcom. you don't know how to make multiplayer games. deal with it. Go back to co-op if anything.

Wasn't the multiplayer in Resi 3 remake awful and full of loot box monetisation? Oh dear, that's a shame.

It's weird that Capcom is trying to push a multiplayer experience after Resistance didn't exactly last very long.

I am a tad concerned. Resident evil 3 suffered because of resistance and I feel that RE8 may aswel. Judging by the name I thought it would be some sort of inverted mode but sounds like it's short for Universe. I just don't see how the single player controls will make for a good multiplayer at all

Ughh, disappointing news; Resistance was woeful and deservedly died a swift death. Hopefully it's a separate team working on this; I want maximum concentration on Village from the core devs!

@Max2574 - My thoughts exactly, I hate it when Developers feel the need to add Multiplayer to a game, especially a game like Resident Evil which doesn't need it.

This is like their 3rd or 4th attempt to make a Resident Evil Multiplayer mode/game, when will Capcom realize that they can't make it work and focus solely on the Single-Player? A Co-Op mode would be fine though I guess.

Damn, that picture looks like it's ripped out of Bloodborne... Makes one wonder how Bloodborne 2 will look like, made for the new gen...

Absolutely no interest in multiplayer especially in Resident Evil games.Not surprised but very dissapointed.

Just stop with this, no one wants RE multiplayer, it dies so fast, tried Resistance and the biggest problem with that is I have no chance of doing well against all the veterans, and long que times. Just not worth it

Capcom please remake Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City and resident evil outbreak with 4 cooperative co-op 4 players to join in and play offline it's more fun to get solo and multiplayer OFF Line modes and create that R worth a long hours of game play first ever create a mercenaries and secert players male and female.

cause online gaming is the awful worst and it's ruining my time and can't afford it in my Xbox one anymore.

If Capcom making Ethan or the queen vampire or the elder lady witch kills main Chris Redfield then I guess it's his time to rest in peace and move on with Leon Ada Wong Claire Jill Jake Sherry Alex Wesker and play as Hunk as Agent mercenarie so we can finely see his real face.

@Daleaf Ha! Well it really was right place right time then Thought you’d like to know I got him Night In the Woods as he’s 14 and was recently diagnosed with bipolar. I’ve read often that it’s one of the things NITW deals with in an approachable way, so thought it a good fit for him and an apt extension of your intent. Put out good and good comes back, as they say

@Daleaf Thanks. I haven't played it either, but hopefully it goes some way to helping him understand the condition in a way clinical information can't or finds difficult. It's a tough thing for anyone to deal with, but especially when you're that age and already going through the trials of puberty (my god, the memories/horror!) , and then on top of it being cooped up all day and unable to escape to school and see your mates. We all need that non-familial outlet and support base. Your friend's clearly fortunate with you as part of his, so fingers crossed my nephew finds the same when he's finally released back into the wild
