Techland really just doesn't stop with the DLC for PlayStation 4 game Dying Light. Starting today, those still playing will be able to take part in a new in-game event themed around the Chinese new year and purchase another weapon bundle based on the Viking era. This all arrives more than six years after Dying Light released — talk about commitment! We just can't help but wonder what's going on with Dying Light 2, however.
The Viking: Raiders of Harran bundle contains Ragnarök (a double-handed Heavy Axe), The Aesir (a one-handed Sword), and Asgard’s Protector (a new Viking Shield). All three come in two different models, with one applying fire damage while the other takes craftable mods. It'll cost you $3.99 to buy the complete bundle, and the final piece of that puzzle is two more buggy skins. Then we have the new in-game Lunar Event, which serves up another weapon for you to earn. It's available to participate in right now, with an overview of it in the trailer above. "In addition players will receive for free the Ox Warrior Bundle, which includes an Ox Cannon Weapon and Ox Warrior Character Skin."
While this is outstanding post-launch support for a game released way back in 2015, a large majority of the series' fanbase just wants to see Dying Light 2 at this point. It's been more than a year since the game was delayed indefinitely, but at least Techland insists "exciting news" is coming soon.

@LochNass
This is true, it takes time to produce a true classic open world game.
New stuff for Dying light.....I thought this was some joke or summit.
PS5 patch incoming?
Obviously still supporting the game so could be a maybe!
Really guys.... Well I suppose its best not to announce a game when it isnt ready yet cough cyberpunk
I'm willing to bet last gen versions of the sequel are cancelled, i remember them saying it was pushing them hard do maybe Cyberpunk made them just think to leave them and focus on the current gen and PC versions.
@playstation1995 ive had this game forever and havent played it. I really need to give it a go. How hard is it?
Word
I played this a lot on release, it really is one of the best games of the last generation. The day/night dynamic made for very different play styles and venturing out at night was always a prospect filled with apprehension. The game invasion mechanic also added a lot to the experience - being hunted by another player added a lot more tension to those nighttime excursions.
I haven’t played it so much since completing the main story and The Following, but there is still probably plenty to go back to. I always hoped for a Pro update that never came and it would be great to see a PS5 update, but perhaps that may coincide with the eventual release of the sequel?
@ellsworth004
I recall it being a little tricky at first, until you start levelling up and begin to pick up some better weapons (so like many games really, but it was more noticeable for me here).
Be very wary of accepting any items from other players in online sessions (which depends on whether many play this now or not) as you run the risk of receiving items that will literally max out your abilities right from the start, making the game ridiculously easy.
@ellsworth004. The night missions is hard.but overall its a cool game.eord up son
@LochNass..... SPIDERMAN IS WELL POLISHED AND WELL FLUSHED OUT.
