A native PlayStation 5 version of immensely popular free-to-play title Genshin Impact has been rated in Taiwan, as pointed out by Gematsu on Twitter. The colourful open world game is currently available on PS4, but it's playable on PS5 through backwards compatibility, where it has a much smoother frame-rate and better load times.
A PS5 edition of Genshin Impact makes sense given the game's staggering success, but what kind of improvements would it have? An even more stable frame-rate at a higher resolution, we imagine, but beyond that? We'll have to wait and see.
Ratings aren't necessarily an indicator of an imminent release, but they do suggests that the product in question exists on some level. Hopefully we hear more about Genshin Impact on PS5 soon.

Give us cross save with pc and mobile and I'll be playing this on my PS5.
Super yes, I really enjoyed the ps4 60 fps version on ps5
@Jbuggydroid I though that at first, but in the end cross-save only make the game feels like work for me, while playing pc version I feels like I'm missing somehings if I don't login everyday to check the bonus currency on my phone. Playing it on my ps5 without cross-save is kind of liberating lol.
Hopefully they don't screw everyone over with trophies like they already have with the different region versions.
PS5 bc frame rate is bad I hope native version
After playing this game for 50 plus hours I really wanna see this world map, but with a single player game. Gacha ain't for me.
Thanks for the leaks today taiwan
@wiiware I really need PC/Mobile cross saves as unfortunately I don't have a strong enough PC to play Genshin on after selling my 2070 super. So being able to continue my adventure in Genshin on my PS5 would be fantastic.
The original PS5 BC version was a HUGE improvement over PS4. The largest difference imho, more than Days Gone, Ghosts or God of War.
Though the recent 1.3 patch (or maybe 1.2.x) seems to have introduced some stuttering, pop in and frame rate issues in busier places so I hope that is fixed!
Probably better draw distance
@Floki Yeah, if you're already play it on pc seriously, it kind of suck to lost all the characters levels and savedata, I do think sony should ease up on the cross-save restriction.
@wiiware Yeah. I have several max out characters, and fully maxed diluc. I would rather not have start over on PS5. This probably more of a miHoYo issue as other cross-save and cross-platform games work fine.
OK...now I need a PS5. I love this game but it makes my PS4 Pro sound like an airplane taking off when the action heats up . I even cleaned my unit and it still makes a lot of noise.
@Floki I forgot about the gatcha, I didn't spend money on the game so I can change platform easily, but if I already spend money there's no way I start new save from ps5 😅
Great news, I'll hold off until PS5 upgrade releases before playing.
@KidBoruto This game isn't for little kids...
Taiwan doesnt exist though.
Recent updates have really tanked the framerate at times. While nowhere near as bad as PS4 it is jarring. Hopefully the PS5 version releases soon and fixes this!
