Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is climbing the US sales charts, as smartphone spinoff Crash Bandicoot: On the Run explodes in popularity. The mobile app – which according to Sensor Tower has amassed an eye-popping 25 million downloads since launching last week – is driving new interest in Activision’s marsupial mascot, and pushing the PlayStation 5 and PS4 release up the best-sellers list.
It’s worth adding that this is all part of a refreshed marketing push from the publisher, which has also seen the title released on Sony’s next-gen platform and promoted heavily online. It’s undeniably huge news for the future of the franchise, after It’s About Time received a somewhat muted reaction at retail last year. Have you taken On the Run for a spin yet?

Haven't played the smartphone game yet but just started Crash 4. I find the difficulty level pretty N.Sane
I beat the first boss and deleted it from my mobile. I’d seen enough and I deleted it. No idea what was going on with gems, potions, etc. #notmybandicoot
Nice. I have seen a lot ads for Crash 4 recently, I was wondering why. It deserves every sale it gets, it's an awesome game.
I might try out the app, can you play as Coco?
@shonenjump86 you can
I played a good few hours of On The Run. They lost me after introducing a battle pass type system a few days after launch. It's pretty decent by mobile standards otherwise.
I think saying it's sales have been boosted by this app is highly generous, despite what he says it's nowhere on the Amazon charts, it's not even in the top 900 on PS4
