Developer ZA/UM promised it, and now it has delivered. Disco Elysium: The Final Cut will release on 30th March 2021 for both PlayStation 5 and PS4. The trailer shares a quick glimpse of what to expect from this isometric RPG masterclass that wowed PC players back in late 2019, with PS5 players treated to a 4K resolution at 60 frames-per-second. Surround sound will also be optimised for current-gen owners — you'll want the Pulse 3D headset for that feature. The game will cost £34.99/$39.99.
Over on the PlayStation Blog, writer Chris Priestman details how the studio has adapted the game for controllers. You'll be making use of the L3 and R3 buttons regularly it sounds like, while the PS5 DualSense controller vibrates when a thought is complete. To learn so much more about Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, we recommend checking out the recent interview we conducted with ZA/UM.

The visuals actually look quite a bit better than they did on release. Can’t wait to play through this another time.
Cool!
So... Hades will be the last announcement?
Please...
@KorsaRaph This was the last indie announcement.
I’m very excited for this and have been waiting for this news. Awesome!
It's not within my usual genre so I'll likely pick it up a little cheaper, but something about this game really catches my eye. Look forward to playing it at some point.
Visuals look great in the trailer too!
The graphics looks good, the music is great, and the story is interesting, maybe I'll get this after I finished one or two of my backlog games
day one buy for me after that dodgy Outriders demo this will be getting my money.
Will there be a physical release?
I was hoping they would announce out today but I also thought wishful thinking I will be alternating between this and monster hunter rise which I will playing with my girlfriend
Disco Elysium is a great RPG, added some really cool fresh ideas. If you're into your RPGs do give this one a go as it's a gem of a game. Not sure whether to buy it again or just play it on PC again. Want to support ZA/UM though.
At £35 it's a No. Later in the year for £20? Yep, definitely.
Excellent. Have been wanting to try the game out, especially after all the praise it receives, rightfully so. I will be getting the PS IV version since I do not own the V yet, and will not be owning one for a good while.
Is there a physical version planned or digital only?
@Starkei @viciousarcanum I believe there's a limited collector's edition you can order online but not a regular one
Soooo what would you compare this game to? I'm interested but I don't know if it's for me.
Desperate to play this but I really want a physical copy so I will hold off for now on the off chance we get a physical release.
Base PS4 version for me. Hope it performs well.
I am a bit perplexed at some of the comments around the games price. It seems like a steal to me for such a quality title.
@Voltan thanks dude.
... £35 release price? (£30 with a top up from a certain online store) is an absolute steal.. day one purchase for me!
@Voltan Think Fallout New Vegas with just the dialogue, set in funky Euro-empire alternate timeline, where your thoughts are often giving you dodgy advice. It’s unlike anything out there really, but has probably the best dialogue skill mechanics there is in any game I reckon. Plus it’s smartly written with a brilliant atmosphere.
YES, please! Love the price as well
