Hyped for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade’s upcoming 10th June release date? You can pass the time with an extended trailer uploaded by Square Enix overnight. This compiles a chunk of the footage that we originally saw during Sony’s State of Play presentation earlier in the year, but it’s worth a second watch if you’re gagging for a taste of the visual improvements and new Episode Yuffie add-on.
For those of you who don’t know, the game will boast a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade – excluding the PS Plus version – and you’ll be able to purchase the new expansion individually if you like. Save data will also transfer across, so if you still haven’t finished the campaign, you won’t get a better excuse. What are your thoughts of the upgrades on display? Limit Break the comments section below.

If it gets delayed to the 6th of October they don't have to change the trailers!
I think the music is still gorgeous. Hopefully they also fixed the door texture problem and some ugly background towards the end of the game (I'm watching on a phone so I couldn't tell).
I like how they use the PS1-tier JPEG background of the wreckage after the plate crashes and destroys Sector 7 to highlight the improved textures, haha. Also, the sewers have fog now!
Nah, game looks nearly identical to me, apart from the framerate boost, obvs. I'm sure the improvement in loading times will also be considerable. But I'm just not seeing the next-gen visual upgrade here.
They should probably fix Aerith's flower bed as well, since those flowers looked like something out of a PS2 game.
Is Intergrade the expansion with Yuffie, or something else?
Good on Square for posting this video with a max resolution of 1080p so we can see those juicy 4K details.
@BloodNinja Intergrade is the PS5 version, the Yuffie expansion is seperate.
Thb, the differences are so minor, it could also be just an update for the PS4 version (like Ghost of Tsushima got one) instead of being a full PS5 version
But at least it's a free upgrade so who am I to complain
@Orpheus79V Thanks!! I missed the memo!

Yeap. Not compelling enough to make it one to buy it instead of the “free” PS Plus version
It's really tough to tell the difference in this video - especially the textures.
Will probably have to wait for the DF analysis before anyone will know exactly how things have improved.
Can't wait to replay this game, I don't even think about the plat, I just want to replay the game 😃
The music in this game is godly, and SE nails the voice acting too, basically everyone, especially aerith.
@GamingFan4Lyf I think 60 fps and the super quick loading time is the upgrades everyone will know from the beginning, the texture is just a bonus upgrade. Although I want to know if the ps2 era door texture is still there, why both ff7 remake and nier automata both have ps2 door, we'll never know lol.
@Ralizah @Ralizah I admit to being too worked up over these things DUH IT LOOKS IDENTICAL
YouTube compression uploaded in 1080p and people are actually complaining about the games visuals... everyday my hope of a dystopia full of informed and rational gamers seems like a pipe dream!
So this is what FF7R pt2 will look like?
I downloaded and started playing remake thanks to ps+. My first Final Fantasty game.
I've since deleted as going to buy Intergrade. I want to experience the best version of the game. Can't wait!
Think they will do anything with the ridiculous looking side quest npcs who look horribly dated? It was jarring to see the amazingness of the main characters and (most) scenery, and then to see those side characters who look like they are straight from a ps3 game. My fiance who doesn't pay much attention when I game literally laughed hysterically when she saw one of them speak to Cloud.
Will those NPC lip sync issues be sorted? You know, the ones who look like
The textures in this game are just bad. Low res and lazy in many places. 4K, 8k, doesn't matter. The game's stuck with what it started with, it looks like. Garbage in, garbage out. Talking only about textures, not the game itself.
@BloodNinja Don't listen to them they're a stupid liar, Playstation store states and I quote, "INTERGRADE is a bundle that includes both REMAKE and the new episode featuring Yuffie"
@Dubbicakes Oh! Ok that makes sense. I wish Square used a better naming convention that is more an indication of what the darned thing is. Thanks for clarifying, much appreciated.

The FF7R for PS5 comes close to what a PC version of the game could achieve. The graphics of this game is all over the place.
@2cents The video itself directly invites comparison between different sets of footage. If you don't think people should be comparing the footage, yell at Square-Enix for creating this comparison trailer in the first place.
@Ralizah This is how I've felt about most of the games so far, like aside from very obvious cases where the framereate is better, you'd probably need a magnifying glass to spot the other visual differences.
This is dumb if they actually expect ps+ FF7 owners to pay a full $60 just to play the DLC, Maybe a $20 upgrade fee or something but otherwise no way I'll pay that much for a couple bells and whistles and a short DLC
@BloodNinja @Dubbicakes It is slightly confusing as to when the game magically becomes the “Intergrade” version, but this much is clear — if you own the PS4 version, then you get to upgrade to the PS5 version for free, with all the graphical enhancements. But the Yuffie DLC is “available to purchase after upgrading to the PS5 version”, as it states in the video there. So if you buy “FF7R Intergrade” from the store it has all the technical enhancements and the DLC, but if you buy (or already bought) the PS4 version, all you can do for free is get the technical enhancements. I figure you’ll have to pay $10-20 for the Yuffie DLC. I think that’s fair.
@Th3solution Was just about to clarify for them, but I see you already have.
I think they will have to make it look noticeably better by the time it's out, to those with ps+ it simply won't be worth it, even if they can't play the dlc.
@Th3solution Thanks for clarifying!
I would have loved to play this in 60 frames per second, but I got the platinum on the PS4 version.
It looks already fantastic on PS4 it shows that they put a great amount of effort in the game.
@BrainHacker It looks fantastic what am i missing?
@Flaming_Kaiser The game has bad textures. I especially noticed it on the slums (the irony). I'm using a PS4 Pro and some textures takes times to load and saving in the game is freaking slow.
The NPCs looks out of place to the main characters in terms of design and detail that I can't help but laugh at the jarring contrast. I'm not saying the game is bad, I just can't help but notice it.
@BrainHacker I hear you i have not started it yet backlog but thanks for the relaxed response. 👍
@Flaming_Kaiser I actually stop playing FF7R because there is no reason to rush it considering the game is incomplete. I think I will play it again when the next part is released.
