@Shigurui Nice! Jinhsi’s great. Still in Top 2 most powerful DPS imo, but she’s fun to play too and the big nukes are great, though they require some build up. Baizhi’s pretty good, if a bit clunky, but can’t hold a candle to Shorekeeper and Verina in most teams.
I’m currently deciding whether to skip Phoebe, also a Specto DPS but also a sub-DPS hybrid. Her kit reads like it does DOT damage (first in WuWa). Currently I don’t want her, but I’ll play and see how she feels. But I also currently have everyone and kinda want to keep that going as long as my luck holds out, but that might mean I end up missing a character I really want. As usual decisions, decisions… lol
@themightyant - Yeah she deals Spectro Frazzle DoT. Rover does it too, been messing around with it and it deals pretty good ticks. The new 4* craftable sword amps it as well, you can buy one from a Riniscita vendor too, fun mechanic. Pretty sure that the upcoming free catalyst type weapon amps it also. Basically built for Phoebe.
I'll be skipping all banners for a while now, I want Shorekeeper and Jiyan whenever they rerun so I'm saving as much as I can for those two.
@Shigurui I've never been a big fan of DoT in the past - I think I like the big numbers too much - but I watched a video over the weekend that reframed it a little for me. In the video they outlined precisely the main issue I have with Jihnsi and Carlotta, that their peak damage is so back loaded that everything is usually dead before you launch the nuke, if you do full rotations. DoT is the opposite of that.
Related what I like about Jiyan and Camellya is that their damage is more towards the front of their rotations, and then they sustain that damage for a while meaning it's better for waves of content and open world. They vocalised what I was saying in several comments above. So although she's also Spectro she fills quite a different role to Jinhsi, and has vastly different teams... so maybe I'll go for her, i'll see if she's fun.
@themightyant - Yeah I've noticed that with Carlotta, there's often nobody left by the last hit of her ult. What I like with Frazzle is unlike DoT in HSR it doesn't proc on action but ticks down once applied and continues to tick while you're in DPS, constantly adding to overall damage.
@Shigurui Exactly. The better I have made my Carlotta team (Zhezhi and Shorekeeper) and improved the rotations the less likely the last hit is to hit anything (or most her burst tbh). It's only really some of the weekly bosses and a few endgame things. I actually thought about changing the team up, making it weaker, to make the final satisfying attack hit more often. But that seems silly.
I'd only ever heard whales complaining about this, but it makes sense to me now. Bit like constant blue-balls. lol
@themightyant - Welcome dude, I doubt you're stuck for swords like I am but this is what I use on Rover, its free and only useful on them. Fables of Wisdom.
@z0d15g0d I tried her demo and liked Phoebe, so I tried to get her.
But my luck had to run out as some point... I pulled Verina.
Which to be fair if I was going to lose the 50:50 I'll take more copies of a copies of a character I actually use. That's S2 now. (I would have also been happy with Encore who is the only 5-star I don't have)

Literally the very next pull another 5 star and of course it's Pheobe guaranteed. Back to back 5-stars. Let's bloody goooo! (I was trying to figure out how to post the video on here easily)
Far too early to have conclusive thoughts as it will take a while to build both her and Spectro Rover (and I didn't pre-farm) but she's not a Jinhsi support as she doesn't do co-ordinated attacks in Sub-dps mode. She is currently a main DPS who also has an off-field sub-dps mode that currently doesn't have a good team. But that's one of the reason's I pulled for her. She's strong enough as a DPS, but likely also has good uses in future.
@themightyant Verina copy and the premium sounds like a double win to me lol. It's a shame they don't let you look and the premiums stats during the demo. I'm not too keen on investing further mats into Rover as I still have others to complete. Phoebe seems easier to stack damage with than Jinshi so she might be a good addition.
Has anyone fought that boss in the center of the maze temple yet? That was a pretty decent challenge. It took me a while to realise I could pause the chess match and the doors would open. I kept having to win with my chess pieces facing certain doors lol. Camellya's relentless combos saw me through that battle. I got it to a fraction of it's HP without any debuffs but if you ease up for 2 secs it regens most of its HP.
@z0d15g0d - Yeah I did it a few days ago. I opened all 4 doors and used the coins to remove all his buffs and wrecked him with Carlotta. Still need to beat him at the chess game though lol.
Did you get Phoebe? I just got her event weapon to R5 and should have her built fully today. I can only take my characters to 70 so not fully but you know what I mean. As good as I can. Currently at 60 with her but I took her into Tethys and beat a level 120 boss that was guarding 3 chests with her and level 50 Spectro Rover. Frazzle is OP!
@Shigurui I tried for her but lost and got Cal who's now E4. I would have preferred Verina but at least he's someone I use. His E6 sounds amazing so hopefully I get that soon. Phoebe sounds like a beast to be able to utilize a lv 50 SRover. Time to grind for more crystals. I got lots of exploring left to do.
@z0d15g0d - Rover just needs to apply 10 stacks of Spectro Frazzle with skill and ult then swap out to DPS with Phoebe and swap in to reapply the stacks. They're really easy to play together.
Lost the 50:50 again and got Calcharo S2. Thought I’d have to skip Brandt but then remembered I got Phoebe one pull later last time. Got Brandt after 11 pulls. My luck rolls on, even when I lose, and I still have every character except Encore. Probably won’t be able to afford the next one unless I get super lucky/early though. Luck can’t last forever.
Got lucky with echoes too on new ER set too, every piece has ER substat so I have 274% ER. You have to hit 250% ER to enable the set bonus and Brandt can get extra attack up to 280% ER which is virtually impossible without his signature, but I’m close. Only downside is my CR is a bit low at 48% I might have to see if I can sacrifice some ER or keep farming. But it’s a great start.
Anyone else getting Brandt? Or who you saving for?
@themightyant - Very nice, cool that your luck is holding up. I'm still saving for Shorekeeper so nothing for me. I would pull on a weapon banner if there were ever any 4* swords on them as I'm desperately in need but so far every banner since I started playing has had broadblades. I'm stocked up on those and rectifiers.
