Ahead of its PC port next week, various outlets are beginning to lift the lid on what Days Gone plays and looks like on the personal computer. That's probably a good idea since the response from the hardcore crowd to Sony's PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn was a little all over the place. Therefore, GameSpot has posted 28 minutes of Days Gone gameplay captured directly from a PC, featuring cutscenes and sequences early in the game.
The site clarifies it is running the game using a "2080 TI, I9-9900K CPU, and 32 GBs of Ram". As a quick reminder, Days Gone on PC will also feature an unlocked frame rate, ultra-wide monitor support, and improved detail. It launches on Steam and the Epic Games Store on 18th May 2021.

Glad more ppl get to try this out...
Honestly even though I didn't love Days Gone at all I might get this on PC to have something pretty to look at because Sony seems to have gone all out on the extra performance tweaks and features here
They should do these videos three different times, on a budget PC, on a mid-range PC and on the very best PCs. Showing off how good it looks on that build doesn’t really give a great impression for anyone except those who have PCs that cost them thousands and thousands.
@nessisonett My PC didn't cost that much with a 2070 rtx and it runs games like this flawlessly. It depends more on how good the port is, hopefully they don't make the same mistakes as Horizon when it was ported to PC.
Can’t wait to see the hordes turned into hundreds of Barney the Dinosaurs through mods 😂😂
@Onion_Knight Well yes, I know what optimisation is. I’m more saying that they should have separate videos that detail how the game looks and runs on more average builds. It makes marketing sense to show these games running on high-end rigs but it’s not really realistic for a lot of gamers.
They might get a sequel on pc if everyone buys it day one...
@Loftimus Might be a possibility! I've pre-ordered it, hopefully its good.
Looking forward to next week!
It's tearing, isn't it. It definitelly doesn't look like 60 fps
Much better than decent. Will this run better than HZD?
@Onion_Knight Yeah, the minimum requirement to run Days Gone is pretty low tbh. HZD was a bad PC port at launch, but I think Guerrilla Games have already fixed the major issues.
i got this when it came out - and ugh the loading times were horrible so i kinda put it down as it didn't seem all that great.....skip to ps5 and a lull of things to play and ohhh the ssd solved this games issues and once you get a bit further in it really improves - didn't like the how deacon spoke while riding - didn't feel real but other than that was a another great sony game
@Scoobijohn I think this thing about deacon talking to himself not feeling real just came from IGN or something, and a snot nosed young journalist bagging it out as he has never truly been angry at the world like Deacon is. If your fiancee was split from you and the world turned to ***** you would be ranting like that as well, at least I would.
The game is great, it's made for a more mature audience like death stranding which is why we get this polarised view on it, the young action junkies don't like it.
@Denni5m you miss my point - its not that hes ranting, its that its like hes talking to someone thats not there - it also sounds like hes talking while standing in a recording studio, not riding a bike - he also rants and inopportune moments - all done at high volume - it just didn't feel real, an opinion based on playing the game not reading any reviews
I got this game when it came out and didn’t like it. I gave it a second shot and got a platinum. It just took a pandemic and a lock down to learn to love it. I won’t be buying the pc one though.
@nessisonett pc's costs are going down , you can get a very very good pc for 2k , and a pretty good pc for less , like 1.5k
@twitchtvpat PC costs don’t go down because whenever new tech comes out, the older stuff goes down in price and the newer stuff is more expensive. It’s a never-ending cycle. You just have to choose whether to jump in at the high-end or the mid-range.
@twitchtvpat This is true for the 3070 and 3080, which performance per dollar are cheaper compared to it's predecessor.
I wish there was a boozer dlc lol
@Scoobijohn yeah it's a bit weird sometimes but I didn't even think twice about it because I never properly read a review before playing the game. I think he is just got a death wish because he does it when you are trying to be stealthy. When I played I thought he was just a crazy bad ass with a death wish and it suited the game lol.
Looks like the definitive way to play this PS 'exclusive' lol

At 1920x1080 I should get 60fps fine with my Ryzen 3600, 16GB RAM and RX580 8GB depends on graochis settings
I am happy to see Days Gone find new life on PC, hopefully it generates enough sales for a sequel to be re-considered.
@Nakatomi_Uk a rx580 is basically the same as a PS4 pro, so even on a PC running a 4 gen old video card it should run fine. On your PC 1080p should be ok, probably about 45-60 fps. Only if you go up to 1440p you will have drama.
@Denni5m @Denni5m Oh I built it for 60fps 1920x1080p gaming because last year prices shot up to crazy levels for the 3800X and 5700XT. But the amount of issues I've read about the 5700XT I'm glad I didn't bother with it.
Was going to get a series 6000 card but fat chance in that I won't be upgrading till 2023 when the chip shortage should be back to norm. But by then series 7000 for AMD and 4000 for Nvidia may probably be out by then as demand for better tech will be high
