Remember how we sort of knew Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 was a thing long before its announcement thanks to bands whose music appeared in the game were spilling the beans? Well, the cycle appears to be repeating itself. On an episode of The Behind Closed Doors Podcast, the drummer of the band CKY said he believes they're appearing on a new Tony Hawk game. The video is about a month old now, but the timeline is correct to where this can still be a new title from the Superman.
When asked whether the band appeared on one of the previous titles, Jess Margera said: "Yeah, and I believe we're doing the new one coming out too." Margera then goes on to clarify he does not mean the recent Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 remake, referring to it as "the remaster of one and two" that his son is currently playing on PlayStation 5. CKY's song titled 96 Quite Bitter Beings appeared on the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 soundtrack.
If this really is the case and a new Tony Hawk game is in development right now, the question becomes one of who is making it? Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 developer Vicarious Visions was recently merged with Blizzard, so they are seemingly off the table. It's currently hard at work on Diablo 2: Resurrected. What do you think? Is a new Tony Hawk title really coming? Let us know in the comments below.

That has to be THPS3 remastered surely? I seem to recall CKY were on the soundtrack to that one. Please say it's so, that's my favourite one!
I met this dude when CKY were supporting Skindred in Notts. He was really polite and a really nice guy. I'm glad they're doing a new TH. Been planning on getting THPS 1 and 2 for a while now.
@Total_Weirdo first off I'd say, what a guy out of a band refers to as new or remastered is neither here nor there. They probably don't really know or care about the difference.
And the other thing I'd say is, if Vicarious Visions AREN'T at the helm, I'd be careful wishing for a totally new game (cough THPS5 cough). I'd rather the safety net of a similar experience to what we just got, but for THPS3 and maybe 4 as well.
IMO.
it's gotta be 3 aint it let's hope so...... š¹
I highly doubt its a brand new game.
More likely than not it's a remaster of #3.
I need this so much its not even funny.
For the love of all things holy PLEASE be THUG1&2 remake. PLEASE!!
The only logical conclusion is that Tony Hawk is in Diablo 2: Resurrected.
Oh man yes please. Iām still plugging away at the platinum for 1&2 but Iād kill for another one.
My guess is THPS 3 DLC for 1+2 since this band was in its soundtrack.
The reason I think DLC is because 3 standalone after 1+2 would feel very lacklustre, 3 and 4 have a very different progression system so I can't see those coming together either, leaving only DLC as the likely option.
96 Quite Bitter Beings Intensifies
It could be a remake of the later Pro Skater titles, the Underground games, or just something entirely new and I'd be all over it. High hopes!
THPS 3+4 incoming
That song was also on the CKY dvds, which were actually mostly about skating confusingly. You never knew whether it was the band or the skate stuff until it went dead.
@Waffles12415 This. Very much this. I'm still waiting!
Great opportunity for them to drag THPS through the mud again by letting some other developer do a half-assed job with a new game. I mean, I'd love to be positively surprised, but we'll see...
Vicarious Visions returned THPS to it's former glory and restored it's damaged reputation after being buried for so many years by horrible games, they were then rewarded by basically being deleted off the planet š
Here's hoping it's a remaster of Ride.
Please let this be THPS 3+4 Remakes!
