The Battlefield 2042 YouTube channel is the place to be this Thursday as developer EA DICE plans to finally share what its new Hazard Zone mode is all about. Scheduled to premiere at 4pm BST / 8am PT / 11am ET, it'll be our first official look at what is described as "an all-new high-stakes multiplayer experience". It will accompany the usual assortment of Battlefield modes and the Battlefield Portal at launch on 19th November 2021.
However, if you've been following our news coverage of Battlefield 2042, then you may already have some idea of what to expect from Hazard Zone. A datamine back in August suggested the mode will play a lot like PC title Escape from Tarkov, tasking squads with completing objectives across pre-existing maps all the while fending off attacks from the AI and other real-life players. Orbital, the single map which was part of the game's recent open beta, supposedly has built-in support for Hazard Zone. If you die during a match, you lose everything.
The datamine in question went on to explain how participants will need to collect intel from data drives and crashed satellites. Points of interest allow you to stock up on ammo or call for backup, such as the Ranger robot dog — again part of the recent beta. AI bosses will also drop more loot when they're downed.
Are you excited by the prospect of Battlefield 2042's Hazard Zone? And how about that beta? Share all of your thoughts in the comments below.

My entire hype for this game is in significant doubt after 4 days of that s**tshow beta
Glitchiest build I’ve ever played in a game. Don’t care if it was a “months old build” as DICE has said, I call bull. PC ran fine, consoles was garbage

its coming out that it was not a months old build and there's been development problems as well as extremely poor mgmt at DICE. This game is going to be a trainwreck
I want to love this game like I have past iterations, but I just couldn't get into the beta. BFV left a huge sour taste in my mouth unfortunately and I'm just not convinced enough that this can grab my attention enough.

I've never been a huge BF fan but I decided to try the beta. I think I will continue not being a huge BF fan. Just not for me but I hope it works better at launch than in the beta for people interested in the game.
Call of Battle zone needs to do something major to get me on board. The beta issues weren't what put me off, no, it was the ridiculous specialist system that ruined any kind of fighting a team of enemies and core progression.
RIP BF
I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, but since the beta, I have cancelled the order.
I hope it comes out good on the other side, but until then, I won't be getting the game.
A real pity as I was so hyped for this.
Isn't this rumored to be Free To Play?
I am looking forwards to this..pre ordered and i havnt tried the beta as i'm busy playing other things..not surprised at all that people are saying the betas crap and they have cancelled their orders as i expected nothing less from a beta (they are rarely a good experience)..gotta be better than bf5 and hell let loose which is mind numbingly bland and frustrating..
After the horrible launch of BF4 they had a few decent launches with BF1 and 5, but 2042 seems to be on course for another disaster. Please don't pre order, everyone. Wait for them to fix it and only then buy it.
Reality came crashing down on me after about 10 minutes with the beta. EVERYTHING felt off - like someone other than DICE having a crack at BF and fumbling. The movement (too fast and frantic), shooting (lack of weight and impact), HUD (messy and confusing) and sound just didn't click, and lacked that BF feel.
In my experience with betas, the final game is only marginally different. They're going to have to do some major overhaul to the game's core mechanics in the next few weeks to get this to a place where I can call it a worthy BF sequel.
They need to use MAG as a example if they want massive online play tht game had it right. MAG
