PSVR’s uber-popular rhythm action game Beat Saber has been updated with online multiplayer today, allowing you to compete in five-player skirmishes against friends or strangers. The mode allows you to use any of the music included in the base release, in addition to any of the DLC expansions, and there’s even a lobby environment where you can either participate or spectate from afar.
You’ll be able to customise your own unique online avatar, and you can even choose your favourite colours to apply to your cubes and sabers. In addition to all of the above, a new song and Halloween environment has been added to the title today, free of charge, and, of course, you can take this online as part of the new multiplayer mode.
Will you be chopping squares in a competitive environment? How do you think your skills will fare? Cut the comments section below and let us know.

Free? Perhaps it may well be one of the VR games given as part of plus.
All well and good, but when is the actual game going to go on sale? It was released 3 years ago next month!
Does free multiplayer mean you don't need PS+ or just that the update is free?
@Rgeneb1 You need PS Plus, but the update is free.
@get2sammyb Thank you. Nice to have a new song though.
@thefourfoldroot how about just pay the price because its an awesome game and you should support the developer
Great new update for an amazing game.
Can’t wait to jump in online
@Jacko11
Because I’m so far behind with games that my sense of value has been skewed by buying them years after release.
Newest game I bought was rift apart (because of a lack of Ps5 games), it was £40, but I’ll get £26 back trade in, so £14, that’s the most I’ve paid in a long time 🤷♂️
Absolutely amazing game and one of the few I regularly buy DLC for. I’m looking forward to playing online this weekend.
@SoulChimera I bought the imagination dragons pack but the rest I wasn't particularly bothered about it would be nice if you could add your own music
@thefourfoldroot I will second what the other guy said, buy it at the price it is because it really is worth that price, I have put countless hours into it, just pure fun tbh.
Oh definitely going to have a blast on this over the weekend can't wait. Haven't played it in a while it's probably my favourite vr game.
@Would_you_kindly I think I’ve skipped a couple of them. Can’t remember off the top of my head but I know one was BTS.
But yeah, not being able to add your own music is the only downfall of the PSVR version.
