Riders Republic is a modern video game, which means even though it’s not out yet, Ubisoft is already flogging a Year 1 Pass. As such, here’s everything that the French firm is adding over the next 12 months (!!!) – including BMX bikes and a bunch of Exotic Kits, featuring rocket-powered skis. There are also a bunch of cosmetics and extras on offer for owners of the more expensive editions.
Don’t worry if you don’t want to pay extra, though, as there’ll be a bunch of seasonal modes and extras for everyone – including new arena-based multiplayer battles and a Winter Sports event. There’s a brief – if, honestly, quite complicated – overview in the trailer embedded above. The developers in the video seem hyped at least.

rolling my eyes. til I have a headache. God bless those who enjoy ubisoft games.
Kind of looks fun, but Steep is kind of fun and I never play it, so probably won't bother with this until it's sub £20.
I was all ready to dismiss this game to the point of actively disliking its presence.
That was until I watched the SkillUp video about it, now I think I'm going to dive in.
I’ll be getting it, he says as he waits for his Ultimate Edition of Far Cry 6 to install.
I enjoy Ubisoft games. God bless me.
It's weird to me that so many outlets are treating this as some new, unknown IP and barely ever mention that it's clearly just an iteration of Steep. You'd think it was some unknown commodity. Not saying that's happening here but I've seen it when outlets have talked about it elsewhere. Ubisoft clearly wants us to forget it's Steep 2.0 and the games media seems happy to oblige.
I'm not sure why anyone would be overly optimistic about this game. Steep was an aimless mess where you had to create your own fun and this new rebranded version looks the same. In typical Ubisoft fashion they make a mediocre game and their first reaction isn't to tighten it up and polish it into a really tight, focused game, it's to add more stuff and make it bigger. Quantity over quality should be their company motto.
It could be great, idk. I'd bet on it being a bloated mess with a bunch of events scattered in a massive open world sloppily presented to the player to complete at their leisure. Which will be never because it's all a bit of a chore and the game gives you no real motivation to do so. But it'll have tons of online randos in funny outfits everywhere though so... cool
Well that wasn't COOLEST BADDEST MOST AWESOMEST RIDERS cringy at all.
@MetalGear_Yoshi I can tell you haven't played it. The beta surprised a LOT of people. It may be a spiritual successor to Steep but it plays a lot better and there's way more to do and you certainly aren't making your own fun. Of course that's an option but as with most sports games, there's a whole career to play through first.
It just reminds me of that game Criterion was going to make but didn't, because they had to make vehicle modes for Battlefronts and Battlefields.
