The new Saints Row has you and your gang start out at the bottom of the criminal organisation ladder. It's up to you to grow your empire and take control of the game's sandbox city, which is apparently made up of fifteen different districts, all with their own unique look and landmarks. Honestly, Santo Ileso shows a lot of promise as an open world map in this new trailer, which highlights a few key areas that you'll want to conquer.
Based on everything we've seen so far, the new Saints Row is... well, it's more Saints Row. If it can build on what previous games got right, then it could be great, but it's still got a lot of work to do if it's to bandage over the backlash that followed its rather generic announcement trailer. A good old gameplay demo would be most welcome, we reckon.

Visually, looking pret-ty rough.
Looks good for me. Very interested to see more tho. Will wait to see how the game reviews.
yea it looks better than the trailer they came out with originally but ill have to keep waiting to see. definitely not a preorder game yet for me!
I may be in the minority but I'm kinda looking forward to this.
Honestly that little clip made me a lot more interested. Still not a genre I gravitate toward, soI can't imagine buying this game for more than $30 a few years out.
Are they still working on that patch for sr 2 that was supposed to fix the pc version & add the dlc
Open World: The Game
@Would_you_kindly Go ask them i guess.
I cant help it but the characters are the weakest part of the game. The game could be a solid 7/10 game though. It just looks on par with Farcry just a mediocre fun game with no identity.
Saw most of this in the leak here: https://pomf2.lain.la/f/hkqjflm.mp4
It's got some pretty bad language by some salty dude and an annoying watermark, though.
I've been sold for a while now, don't really care if I'm one of 6 and a half people that buys it although... I would want it to sell for the devs sake and a sequel!
@Juanalf I'll be one of those 6.5 people right along with you. Saints Row has always been stupid fun.
People can gripe about the characters all they want but it's not like the side characters outside of Shaundi and Gat were anything special... looking at you Kenzie...
In the end as long as the customization is there I'll create the boss I want to create and have a blast playing it.
I'm looking forward to this, I love pretty much all of the saints row games, except gat out of hell.
Not as excited for this entry compared to past entries. Iām more looking forward to the inevitable Red Faction sequel/reboot. I feel like Guerrilla was underrated.
@Iver @torne I don't understand too much what's the problem either š
They don't like the boyish girl main character? Well you can change her into whatever the hell you want, side characters? They've only said a couple of words in a cgi trailer...
I think they really shouldn't have released that cgi trailer and just introduced the game with real gameplay, honestly all publishers should stop using cgi nonsense to reveal new games.
@Juanalf agreed. I love a good CGI trailer to set tone but at least accompany it with actual gameplay.
I think I understand why a lot of people don't like this, but I can't explain why, if that makes sense.
I like it, though, I'd hate for this to turn out to be another letdown. Looking forward to having some chaotic fun. Not generally a huge fan of the series, I've only played some and never really dug into any of the games. This one looks good.
I'm actually interested in it
I think Saints Row are two words together that tent to fly over most of our heads
I might be interested when it gets cheap!
Game is obviously still in Beta, so won't hold judgment until full release.
@Xenomorph_79
It won't flop that bad, but even as a fan of Saints Row 1 and 2 who likes that this has a more grounded approach than 3 and, especially, 4, I'm still not too hyped. Horizon: Forbidden West is definitely on the list first.
