GTA Trilogy has a new update on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. As you'd expect, it promises to fix another huge list of bugs in all three games. Somehow, the patch notes are even longer than last time, so you'll have to forgive us for all of the scrolling that you're about to do.
There are a couple of notable graphical improvements included in this update, though. In GTA III, sign resolution has been boosted, while in San Andreas, 'cloud cover' has been added when you're at high altitudes. This should make the respective remasters look a bit more presentable.

They should not have pushed these out for the holidays. Period.
Lmao they fixed the bug that had CJ's face glued to the camera when he drove the bike.
I always liked that one. It gave me a chuckle.
I still can't believe Rockstar delayed RDR2 multiple times yet let this garbage go out the front door without its boxers on.
Imagine buying this day one and paying full price for a sub par game that hadn’t even been optimised yet. Even when it’s optimised it ain’t gunna be all that but I mean Jesus…look at all those notes…with more to come.
Didn’t even have clouds 😂😂😂
bUt I sTiLL eNjOyEd It
@RBMango Just imagine how many times it was actually delayed to get to the state it was in. HIGHLY doubt they had one release date and just pushed it out. It likely WAS delayed, we just don't know because it wasn't revealed formally.
@Texan_Survivor you got it. I won’t buy a game till at least 3 months after release, and up to 6 (12 and counting for Cyberpunk lol) Even for Sony exclusives. Even if it’s pretty damn close like Sony’s games usually always are, you’re not getting the full experience still and you’re paying full price too. Wait, months
Clearly just pushed it out for Christmas sales, ready or not.
The sheer amount of these fixes makes it sound like Rockstar took it back from the original developer and are now fixing it themselves.
Take a shot every time the patch notes say "Fixed an issue where..."
You'll be dead
I completely agree. I virtually never buy a game at launch for these reasons. My rare exceptions tend to be big first party Nintendo games.
Sounds like a promising update. seems that they actually fixed most of the bugs that were well complained about. Hopefully they will keep these bug fixes coming. Also I hope they introduced a proper 30fps cap without framepacing issues.
I will wait for YouTubers to actually confirm that they ironed the issues out tho, before considering buying it.
Clearly just released it early so they didn’t have to test it themselves. Why test and find bugs in your own games when paying customers can do it for you.
@Texan_Survivor there’s always a silver lining. As I said 3 months for excellent dev’s and 6 months for the rest (not to mention longer for broken messes like Fallout 76, Cyberpunk etc) and in that time the price will also drop while the games will be actually finished. I just see an opportunity to get games for cheap and avoid ever paying full price again. I’ll have to wait, but I don’t mind cos in reality I have no choice cos I can’t do half baked games anyway and I’ll turn that into a financial win and I’ll laugh at everyone who buys day one 👌
At least they are trying to fix it
Removed - flaming/arguing
This should be an embarrassment for Take Two, Rockstar and Grove Street Games but the game sold like crazy from day one so we'll see more of this garbage in the future.
FFS this puts Cyberpunk to shame and its a bloody ancient remaster...
How much did they screw over the fanbase that has bought a physical copy. 😬
Those are a ton of fixes, couple more updates like that and the collection could be worth playing, at a discount of course.
@Anke I was wondering the same whether rockstar are doing these updates themselves.
Not bought it myself (yet....). The sheer number of bug fixes just to stop that horrendous rain effect from happening indoors 😂
@Texan_Survivor
They just release the beta builds now.
It’s ridiculous. With how fast these updates are coming I firmly believe the game wasn’t finished and someone at R* and Take2 made them release their latest build in time for Christmas.
I’m getting sick of it. Delay your game, developers and publishers. We are sick of paying money to be beta testers.
If you want to release a free “in progress” version for gamer feedback, that’s fine. But don’t charge money for this stupidity.
This garbage mobile port is never gonna top the originals.
Vice City :
Fixed an issue where Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean didn’t play on the radio.
Oh, wait 😂
This is one helluva list of fixes. Remember when people tried to argue everything was just fine and dandy 👀
@Texan_Survivor this is why it's pointless to preorder or buy day one anymore, you are not paying for quality content that is for sure lol
too late! time for GTA6
@Jackpaza0508 hell...just taking a shot for every "fixed an issue where rain..." would be enough to kill most people...
@Loftimus hahahaha. Hahahahah. Hahahaha
Remember folks the clues are always there when they don’t allow early review access.
@Deanster101 exactly. Anyone with half and ounce of grey matter say this one coming
played these like mad on the ps2 looking forward to the multiple drop in and outs between other games. i last played these games on a #14 glass tv lol gona be an experience on a #55 screen.
They couldn't fix the UK weather with the rain could they?
@TheRedComet sadly I think the numbers in which these broken games sell suggests 'we' aren't sick of it. Why anyone would want to buy a game for £55 when they know full well they can buy it for less than half that in a years time is beyond me but each to their own I guess.
@RBMango I'd never heard the expression "go out the front door without boxers on" and it gave a good chuckle, thanks! 😁
Just guess.
They are developing GTA6, and it will combine all the map in GTA series, they have to update all of them, but this is a huge job to figure it out where the bugs and glitches.
humm…slightly decorate it, make the trilogy and sell them to players, the most efficient tester group, viola~
well, I love the Trilogy though, good games.
Let’s hope all the patches will be included on the physical disc upon release
@Jackpaza0508 technically you'll be dead after the first shot but yes
This should have been delayed to Spring or Summer 2022, but they gotta get that holiday monies.
