Black Friday has started and already Shop To have 12 months PS+ on sale now for £33.32.
However if you use code EXTRATEN at check out you get it for £29.85!
Great deals. Got myself Far Cry 6, Guardians of the Galaxy and Lost Judgment so far.
I might get Psychonauts 2 too.
very poor black friday sale for me i hope they redeem themselves with the xmas sale
@sanderson72 yeh i just picked that up as well from shopto im set until 2026 hahahaha
amazon normally match so they might do when they notice it
I've just started Guardians of the Galaxy and I'm really enjoying it. I had no expectations because of how The Avengers bombed so when the reviews started coming out, I was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend it, especially at this price. What a soundtrack 👌
Had a quick look through the first several pages. Can’t currently find anything that’s cheaper than I could get it physically, but I’m sure there are some decent deals.
That "7 days left" warning on my plus sub popped up two days ago.
Just waiting to see where the best deals are before the annual renewal.
I will take Deathloop. Waiting for bigger price drop for Ratchet and Returnal
Returnal is 39.99 at Smyths Toys. Still a tenner over what i want to pay but for some might be worth it. I picked up Deathloop for 29.99 and will grab Psychonauts 2 and a PS Plus sub from ShopTo.
Hoping someone gets me Guardians of the Galaxy for Xmas
@Rob_230 I'll buy it for you Rob
Definitely getting a bunch of these. Deathloop, Guardians, Tales of Arise, maybe Psychonauts 2.
I'll just wait until after work to see if there aren't any comparable retail deals but not counting on it.
@LiamCroft just a heads up, I think there may be a pricing error/typo for Sackboy in your article. Looking on the PSN app now and it's £34.19 rather than £43.19.
Digital Deluxe is £53.59
I'd like to get Guardians as i've heard good stuff and they added the RT mode for PS5, but there's this niggling feeling in the back of my mind that the moment I do or next week, retailers will be selling physical copies for cheaper!
Already seen Amazon Germany had it for £32 (although immediately sold out)
Tempted by The Dark Pictures Anthology Triple Pack as it's essentially £11 a go, and House of Ashes seems to be the PS5 version as well as PS4.
If Sackboy was around £25 I would have bitten.
@Perryg92 Fixed that, thanks!
Few non PS Store Black Friday sales
12 months of PS+ is £29.95 today at shopto.net with code EXTRATEN

https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08QJHLC8J
Awful PS5 'sales'.
@LiamCroft Haha thanks Liam 😘
Really want Death Stranding but think it'll come down more by Xmas. Deathloop I'll wait until Game Pass. Might bite with REVillage bit that'll end up on GP eventually won't it? Tough call..
Highly highly recommend Hades at that price too. Must have well over 100 hours on that game already and still going strong!
@themightyant I think Ratchet has a permanent price drop to £45 and then what you see with the sales are discounted from that. GAME lists it as £45 but no sale is mentioned.
@sanderson72 not all heroes wear capes
@themightyant
Yes, and that’s not even considering the resale value of the physical discs.
Why did I buy Guardians and Riders Republic at launch when they discount it after ONE MONTH 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Fifa 22 is £35.99 for PS4 version, PS5 is £48.99 would be tempted if it was £35.99
I've already bought gotg (bargain!) I can't decide between lost judgment or ff7r intergrade. Definitely a good sale though. Well done.
im going to jump on cyberpunk thats a steal, will be ready for next gen.
They added a 33% discount for PS Plus to the store as well (wasn't there earlier this morning).
@WizzNL "a year PSPlus for 20 euro"
Where did you get that deal from?
Can't believe GOTG is already on sale!! Its a damn shame it's not pay day yet
Guardians of the Galaxy is £38 on the store but if you buy the PS4 version physically (£30 via Jacamo) you then get after upgrade to the PS5 version
@Gamer_Girl_ I thought the maximum was 3 years? Pretty sure It used to be
@Mhoney cheers for the heads up! Bought myself a copy.
I had no idea Jacamo sold games. Thought it was just a clothing site for men.
Also was convinced Square wasn't offering a free upgrade so had been specifically checking for PS5 versions, but glad they're doing so.
@Perryg92 hey no problem- I wish it was that price at a physical shop- I’d happily play the PS4 and PS5 version and then resell it.
I’m hoping somewhere does it that cheap… I’m gonna keep an eye out
Outriders for $20 looks like a good deal. As does Cyberpunk at $25. I feel like Cyberpunk PS5 is still a year away, may have to just get this version. Avengers, Deathloop, FC6, Riders Repub, Godfall, lot of good deals I am interested in, I need to do some deciding!
That deal on Guardians of the Galaxy is completely insane!
Watch Dogs: Legion PS4 £11.99:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384488676954
@sanderson72 Not just this in terms of SGA, but if you take advantage of ShopTo's discounted wallet top-ups AND THEN hit the PSN Black Friday sale... even more savings!
PS I just bought the 12m PS Plus from them and then realised that takes my subscription up to May 2024
Bought Ghost of Tsushima director’s cut and was thinking of another one. Cyberpunk is a good deal but I won’t play it until the next-gen upgrade. I will choose between Deathloop and RE Village, but will sleep on it first.
Quick heads up, tesco have farcry 6 for £35. Just picked it up an hour ago. Both ps4 and ps5 version same price
@Mhoney you absolute legend!
I went for Deathloop £30 physical, good game so far, quite a bit to get my head around but only a couple of hours in.
@MrGilly69 That is a decent price a good 40 hour game there or more if you clean the map!
This is awesome i absolutely love the ps plus discounts!!!!!!💞
@Marquez Yes, I'm good until Dec 2023!
Question for Returnal Fans and opponents, how much joy is there in the game for anyone that likes shmups and absolutely hates roguelikes? I mean hates roguelikes to the point that Hades was fun for like 4 hours and then will never be touched again kind of hate? For $30 or $40 I'd buy it to sate curiosity. $50 is still a bit much for such a questionable game I probably won't like but might.
@BertMan666 glad you’re enjoying it! Just finished it myself.
Love the characters, the music and the general adventure. I think it’s a game that’s made with a genuine affection for the source material and that shines through.
Got myself Guardians of the Galaxy for 33 € on amazon DE. Thinking about Far Cry 6...and everybody should buy Deathloop!
As expected Far Cry 6 is already discounted. Never buy Ubisoft games at launch friends.
I’m really interested in Ghost of Tsushima. I never played it on PS4. Would everyone here recommend it for 49.99?
I am going to wait until I see physical prices, though. That’s a game I’d rather have on disc.
@NEStalgia
Returnal was my first rogue lite. And I fell in love with it. It’s my game of the year.
I was hoping for a discount on the expansion for Ghost of Tsushima.. bummer.
eh , ok I suppose?
Just got Guardians of the Galaxy physical on Amazon for $29.99 y’all!!
@NEStalgia If you HATE roguelikes, I’d say skip it. It is quite heavy on the die and lose everything, especially early in the game. And this is coming from someone that absolutely loves the game. 🤷🏻♂️
@TheRedComet @Ear_wiG one yea and one nay...hmm.... That advice to skip it sounds sound and on point. If I'm smart I'd follow it .... At 50 it's probably a poor use of money for something I probably dislike. Not totally ruling it out just yet though...
Also, GoT is fantastic. It's basically AC Origins with a Japan skin though. If you like ac origins you'll absolutely love it. If not, probably skip it. The gameplay loop isn't going to make you start liking the formula if you disliked it before. It's not necessarily unique to play, but it's pleasurable to play and more polished then ac in general.
I'll grab Deathloop for £30.
Was really hoping for a proper discount on Demon's Souls, but alas. For £6 more, I can pre-order Elden Ring! Bit of a no brainer really!
Sony need to sort out these 1st party prices.
£43-£55 for games that came out 8-12 months ago.
Really regret getting my PS5 Digital now...
I bit and bought psychonauts 2! Looking forward to it
@AFCC I bought Farcry 6 at launch im a idiot. 🤪
@themightyant thanks. Really helpful!
@Marquez hahaha thats ok just buy a 100 us card and stock that wallet...buying 100 will always be cheaper in long run i save 200 ttd every 2 years lol
@TheRedComet definitely get it now...watch some letsplays if unsure...but i say buy it its a great experience
Very surprised Psychonauts 2 has been discounted this early.
Don't normally buy digital, but made the exception for that, it's a much more reasonable price.
@NEStalgia Returnal is a fantastic game, but definitely not for everyone. I will say though, if you stick with it and “get gud” as they say, it is VERY addicting, even after frustrating deaths. Also the new suspend cycle feature makes the game much more manageable (i.e., no required 3-hour sessions to make progress). 🤷🏻♂️
Now this is how Sony are like Nintendo - their first party sale prices are just like everybody else's regular prices. Disappointing.
I got 13 Sentinels and Ni No Kuni 2. Great prices too.
Kingdom Hearts all in one package is only $24.99 when it is usually $99.99 in the ps store. All 3 games for $25 was too hard to pass up for me.
@Medic_Alert I really really want to upgrade that anemic ssd, but especially after my xsx died, there's no way I'm plugging anything into my PS5 motherboard until after they're easily available to repurchase on a whim ..
@Ear_wiG so I bought souls, and that's going very very badly (I should know better, it's like the 6th Fromsoft game I've bought with the same result...) so I bit the bullet and bought returnal to go with it. Vv unfortunately they're both basically frustrating rogues that love to waste your time, but I have to say returnal is a lot of fun to play. I doubt I'll ever see the third environment. Most rogues I get to environment 2 and that's good enough.... But the minute to minute play is all the fun I hoped a shooter shmup would be. I just wish it weren't a rogue 🙄
I read ahead on the story beats, and the story is trash and I get the feeling it started purely as a cool sci fi shooter and then trying to make it a bigger game turned it into a try hard profound piece, but if your ignore all that it's a cool, but still overpriced, uniquely playing game. Probably less of a waste if money for me than souls.....I suck too much at that to see anything but the front gate 😆
@NEStalgia Stick with Returnal. Once you start unlocking more advanced weapon traits you’ll get way more powerful. Also the grappling hook makes you much more mobile and increases survivability. Just remember… never stop moving, get as many artifacts as possible (including the astronaut figure), and NEVER take a parasite with any kind of health damage. Be persistent and you can make it to biome 4, which is a sort of checkpoint. The latter half the game is awesome, and has some really cool bosses, and the final biome is amazing. Stick with it!!
Picked up Guardians of the Galaxy for £29 on PS5 today. Tesco again with those clubcard prices!
@Ear_wiG Ahh, so do you start unlocking better traits in the first biome? That's one thing that I like about "real" roguelikes vs Souls is that you do tend to gain power as you play, so it's more RPG-ish in terms of the grind in some ways. Souls, even if you unlock better gear and stats, you're still always ohko from death.
I got to Phrike, but I was low-ish on health when I got to him. I made it past the first phase not knowing there were more phases. I had by luck a top shelf parasite that respawned me with malfunctions, but I didn't know his new patterns and he still got me. I think I only had a 2 star carbine (I'd left the 3 star shotgun behind because that seemed worse for the task.) I'm sure I could get him if I stuck with it but my next run was unlucky and every room had like 100 of those bat things that have nigh unavoidable body slam attacks. One thing I don't like about roguelikes (including souls) is when you have a boss run that has multiple phases you have to keep playing tons of game over and over just to get to him just to experience the phases and try to learn them. That gets old.
But the gameplay sure is good. It's basically Doom Eternal as a rogue, crossed with a shumup. And that's not entirely a bad thing I do wish the story didn't go the route it does though...kinda ruins all the cool setup, but it's a Housemarque shmup.....the story was guaranteed to be an afterthought from the start.
@Flaming_Kaiser I bought Guardians, Riders and FC6. I'm the biggest idiot
@AFCC Lets say where both idiots Ubisoft are games you should never buy day one. They dont have any value they drop off a cliff in a few weeks plus they are a mess on release.
And thirdparty titles always wait for reviews there are just way to many terrible day one releases.
A lot of always online games are future garbage. And big respected developers dont care any more anyway. CDPR, Rockstar companies where you knew you got great games dont have standards anymore.
Ubisoft, EA, 2K, Activision Blizzard they really dont give a damn and monetized their games to death but still get massive praise from the gaming sites.
And dont forget Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard are companies that dont care about abuse with even rapists getting of without any problems or prosecution. Kotick is best example of company that has no standards the know what he did and he still can stay without any issue.
