Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is hitting the Epic Games Store on the 16th December, meaning that it'll no longer be a PlayStation exclusive title. It's arriving a lot more suddenly than we thought it would, but this news doesn't come as any surprise. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade — along with the original Remake on PS4 — was always set to be a timed deal, with exclusivity lasting six months following the game's launch. That agreement came to an end this month.
It's also no surprise that it's jumping to the Epic Games Store. Intergrade was spotted on the platform's servers back in June.

about time it isn't PS exclusive anymore.
Now time to see people complaining that it is Epic Games Store exclusive now.
I’m glad others who haven’t been able to play it can finally enjoy it!! It’s well worth the wait. Enjoy it PC gamers 😎😎
Wake me when integrade comes to PS4... like it should have when it was released.
EGS, ugh. Might as well still be exclusive to Playstation.
I guess Microsoft will have to wait an extra year, since the Intergrade re-release probably pushes the console exclusivity period out further.
Nice, I wanted to get a Ps5 for this but couldn't find one. I'll just get it on pc now.
Sweet. I love my PS4 but I was waiting until it came to PC to play it. I'll wait for it to get a bit cheaper but I'm very much looking forward to it!
@dustinprewitt Yeah, this needs to be on PS4. Same goes for part 2 (and 3 if they really end up milking it). .
@mucc Ditto! So far, this is the only "gotta have" game for the PS5 I don't have, but I'm gonna pass on it because of EGS.
@anoyonmus EGS really is THAT bad. I guess I'll just finally get this game on PS4, lol.
Sony: Let's buy shares in Epic to keep FF7 exclusive longer
Shame it's on the EGS but this should never have been exclusive in the first place, the original came to PC in the 90s after all.
@Ralizah At this point, I wouldn't expect this to ever appear on an Xbox console. I fully expected it after they renewed the deal for the PS5 version, but now the fact that Square Enix does this, it's obvious they don't want it on Xbox and only care about the money. It'll be roughly 2 years since the game originally came out.
@anoyonmus Why shouldn't people complain? I mean, obviously PlayStation fans wouldn't care as they've had the game exclusive ever since it first launched on PS4, but it's a slap in the face to any Final Fantasy fans on Xbox. It's clear Square Enix cares more about money than anything else.
@KilloWertz a lot of people hate the EGS
I can't believe that it's still not coming to Xbox. Does this mean with it coming to Epic that it won't be on Xbox?
Was to be expected, though a shame it's not coming to Steam.
Ah, that explains the upcoming date, my wife and I were so confused, we really thought it was for FF7R Part 2 when it started but then we realized it all was taking place in Midgard so.
I'll need to play this some day, but not today.
@KilloWertz maybe its punishment to xbox for taking elder scrolls from playstation players
@stinkyx @dustinprewitt I doubt they'll ever port Intergrade to PS4, the upgrades and Intermission/Yuffie DLC are too advanced.
@Snake_V5 There will still be a Xbox release, Epic Games is only PC.
@nessisonett true but it also came after playstation version, but probably because square needed time to port the game to pc not $ony paying to be exclusive
@KidBoruto That's what I'm saying, because it's going to Epic store it probably won't come to Xbox now because it will be exclusive to Epic store.
@Snake_V5 @KilloWertz Iwouldn't read much into it. Sony obviously doesn't consider PC to make something "non-exclusive" since they're bringing their own games there, and Microsoft considers PC to be exclusive...
Sony, and even Nintendo have been less into "platform exclusive" and more into "console exclusive + PC" with their timed exclusivity deals. We can't know Intergrade's terms for renewal but I'm assuming it's "6 months exclusive, 1 year console exclusive" which isn't uncommon. Makes sense, we're officially at 6 months today, thus the announce on PC.
No way to know for sure, we all thought it would be on XB by now until they found a way to make it exclusive by adding DLC again, it may never come to XB, but I still think it will. PC seems to be almost always separate and shorter terms than console exclusivity. If around June 10th/E3 we hear something we know it was a 1 year console extension.
I also wouldn't be surprised if it launched onto Game Pass if it does. Square's been pretty forward with their games there. Square has also confirmed they're bringing FFXIV MMO to Xbox, but they don't have a timeline and it's not a top priority, so square not getting around to it doesn't mean they can't or won't...
Can someone explain to me why it matters which store on a PC its on? Surley tou just go to that website/app and download? Or am I missing something? Only play on a ps5 here no notion about PC gaming 😅
@Snake_V5 Epic Store is PC only though, while Xbox is a console...why would it being Epic exclusive on PC prevent it from being released on Xbox consoles?
@djhegzy
It sucks having your games spread out across multiple download clients. I buy everything I can on Steam, but I still have to get my Blizzard games from BattleNet and used to have to get my EA games from EA Origin. Ubisoft, Rockstar, Microsoft, Bethesda, CD Projekt Red, and Epic Games have their own launchers, too. It really is a pain in the butt you can't have all your games in one place and have to hunt for them as well as keeping redundant applications installed.
I really wanna play intergrade, but my saves on PS4. Don't wanna start over. Really hoping they'll release intergrade for PS4.
@djhegzy EGS sucks because it doesn't have remote play (on Steam I can play games on my phone in bed or on my living room TV), no community features whatsoever (sharing screenshots and videos, forums), almost no games have achievements, and just the general feeling that Epic doesn't care about improving their launcher (you STILL can't set a profile picture almost 5 years later, lol). Other PC launchers have come and gone, meaning you lose access to all of your digital games with them (which Nintendo has also done with the Wii, and Sony keeps trying to do with Vita and PS3, and PS4 and PS5 are next one day), and Steam seems like the only launcher where the developer actually cares about its platform.
Cheers for the explanations that makes sense! Dont think most of that would bother me too much, but as you say if a store closes down and you loose your game then thats not so good.
wonder if the ultimate version mod will be made for this to on pc lol
@KidBoruto Because wouldn't there be an agreement or something where it's timed exclusive or something to Epic?
@Snake_V5 I highly doubt it's a timed exclusive, they made a promise ages ago that this game will eventually release on Xbox.
I don't see them ever going back on their word, legally binding contracts and what not.
I suspect it'll be ported to Xbox sometime in 2022.
@KidBoruto Really? They've never ever said its coming to Xbox, never heard Square Enix even mention Xbox.
I just want to see it go on sale on the Playstation Store.

So it goes from one exclusive to another? LOL!
BRACE THE PC MASTER RACE, the best place to play video games the way they're supposed to be played! high fidelity, no fidelity sacrifice with "performance mode", no locked frames no limitations no nothing. Hail the PC master race.
@Ralizah OR....never.
@BRUTALSAM .......for ppl with the hardware to do it. PS5 practical performance is far beyond the pure specs. The closed system on PS5 punches well above it's weight and the percentage of ppl that have a PC more capable than a PS5 is certainly well below half.
