Gran Turismo 7 is so close we can almost taste the gasoline in the air. After a slew of new footage last week, North America’s chief classification board ESRB has now rated the simulation racer for release. Unsurprisingly, it’s an E for Everyone: “The game contains a historical photo that depicts a driver smoking a cigarette. In a picture mode, a sign reads ‘Spirits, Whiskey, Gin, Wine, Beer, Ale, Stouts’.” Won’t someone think of the children?
All of this means that the game is very much on track for its 4th March release date, with development likely to be wrapping up at Polyphony Digital. Of course, this is a service-based title so the work never ends, and if GT Sport is anything to go by, there will be a ton of post-release support planned. Nevertheless, it’s exciting to see the game keep pace with its intended launch target, and we’re really looking forward to getting behind the wheel in the New Year.

No doubt it'll be great and look the business but I really long for a good old fashioned arcade racer.
I’m actually surprised it gets an E if the livery editor’s back from Sport. Some of the designs that were shared were… interesting.
I just hope the devs behind this game didn't have a party on the 18th of December last year as there could be serious consequences.
Or not...
@hypnotoad
Actually it was a cheese & wine business meeting I heard...
@Futureshark Apparently so.
Now I'm off to my garden to check on that money tree I planted a few years ago...
Eh, I’ll buy it after everyone complains there’s no environmental interactions like dirt etc and about the crowd and buildings looking generic and it all gets fixed
What I'd really like to see is a next gen Ridge Racer.
@hypnotoad I'd love to see a modern Ridge Racer - looking forward to GT7 but also need the other side of that racing coin!
I wish they add popular Japanese drift tracks...ill wait for the reviews
@hypnotoad I long for a PS5 take on Burnout.
@Marquez For old times sake...

@hypnotoad New ring tone confirmed.
It's ironic, I just upgraded my rig (literally months in the making), and it's really given GT Sport new life — the game was so boring to me before, first with a gamepad, then with an entry-level wheel setup! Now I see all the great & fun things in this game that I've been missing the past 5 years😂
Start of next year is going to be amazing. Jan - Uncharted remaster; Feb - Assetto Corsa upgrade; Mar - GT7 😁 (I believe there's a HFW in there somewhere, although I've yet to even play much of HZD yet.)
GT Sport got better after it was released, but the grind for level 50, and the nightmare of the online races (and associated trophies) kinda put me off of the game altogether. Hopefully GT7 will be reinvigorating for me... Better be, I've already put my money down, I just wish they'd done some kind of collectors edition...
@Marquez @hypnotoad I'd be well up for that too... I miss the days when the only game you could guarantee to get on the latest PlayStation was R/R, pretty sure I still have my PS3 version so it's better than nowt I guess... Although Horizon Chase Turbo was free on PS Plus a couple of years ago, I still dip into it for stress relief occasionally... Maybe I should sit down and actually finish it off one of these days... 🙄
@hypnotoad I know what you mean my hype for GT7 is stratospheric But I’m also looking for a new burnout or something of that ilk
@LiamOliver I platted GTSPORT. It’s actually not that hard just find a lobby where you can achieve a pole position and just stay ahead of them
@hypnotoad Dirt 5 is very good. Or get ya self an Xbox Series S, Forza Horizon 5 is fantastic!!
