Wow, remember Warhammer 40K: Space Marine? It was a really well-liked third-person shooter that released on the PlayStation 3 about a decade ago. Well, ten years later, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment are building a sequel. There’s not much meat to this trailer – despite its two-minute running time – but you should expect crunchy combat and larger-than-life presentation.
Clive Standen, of Vikings fame, will star as Captain Titus. “Unleash deadly abilities and an arsenal of devastating weaponry to obliterate the relentless Tyranid hordes,” the press release teases. “Hold at bay the horrors of the galaxy in epic battles on far-flung planets. Uncover dark secrets and drive back the everlasting night to prove your ultimate loyalty to humanity.”

Yeah i'll have me some of this...must revisit inquisitor at some point after xmas and wrap up those few remaining trophys...this looks like a winner for me..
Great... now I have to finish that first one...
I love the lore of 40K etc but I actually missed Ultramarine. I only ever played Dawn of War on PC. I take it based on the comments above it was a good game? Either way I'll give this one a go.
Hot damn, I had almost given up hope on this, but only almost, because a) I’m one of the fans of the original and b) they put out a new Warhammer game out like every month, so I guess this was inevitable.
The first Spesh Marine wasn’t exactly the peak of originality and had relatively simple gameplay loop, but it really nailed enough things (Orks that sounded very british, good/meaty weapon sounds and your character having a weight to him) for me to really enjoy my time with.
I hope that a sequel ten years later shakes things up more than with just a shinier coat of paint and new enemies, but I’d probably be lying if I said that a new SM game that feels very similar to the first game but on a much grander scale wouldn’t already appeal to me greatly.
Wow that was unexpected, the 1st game was awesome. I had given up hope they'd make a sequal let hope they don't mess it up.
The surprise of the awards.and one i was hopping for.because to me thats The best warhammer games ever made.word up son
Finally but first Darktide in 2022
I love how Warhammer constantly go on about how the Space Marines are the baddies and then every single game that comes out is essentially ‘heh heh space fascism go brrrr’
I am so happy for this. That cinematic proved there is attention to detail with the universe and that has me super excited.
@The_Moose I went back a second time on hard mode, which I don't usually do. It was a very straight forward campaign, though. Back then, it was kind of refreshing as the ps3 was the era of open sandbox everything lol
@nessisonett Is there a single good faction in Warhammer, though Would be cool to play as something like Elder, though. Maybe they'll let you play as another faction for a bit.
