Here's a blast from the past. About eight and a half years ago, Sony and Quantic Dream put out a visually stunning tech demo entitled The Dark Sorcerer. This is essentially a short film (embedded above), taking a dark fantasy premise and twisting it with some fourth wall-breaking comedy. While it's not been seen or heard of since 2013, rumour has it that the French developer is in fact making a second major game, and it's based on this quirky demo.

As reported by VGC, this comes from Twitter user AccountNGT, who has previously shared information and images of Star Wars Eclipse days before its official unveiling. Here's what the rumourmonger has to say about the project:

So, if this is to be believed, Quantic Dream's core Paris team is building a cross-gen game based on The Dark Sorcerer, focusing on narrative and humour with a non-linear story. It certainly seems plausible, and let's not forget this wouldn't be the first time the studio takes a tech demo and turns it into a full game (hello, Detroit: Become Human).

Obviously, this isn't to be taken as gospel, but the Twitter user did leak Star Wars Eclipse ahead of time, and this all sounds rather likely. If the game does exist, we probably won't see it for a while, though.
