Zorro: The Chronicles will be bringing rebellious, swashbuckling action to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in June. You may have seen the announcement for this action adventure game a few months back, but at that point, we didn't have confirmed platforms.
The title's based on the animated series of the same name (which, admittedly, we know nothing about), and it looks like solid fun in the reveal trailer above. At a glance, the combat reminds us of traditional Assassin's Creed games, with groups of enemies being picked off one by one via cinematic counterattacks.
Zorro: The Chronicles could be worth keeping an eye on, then, and it's clearly aiming to please players of all ages. Are you up for some slapstick swordsmanship? Carve your own 'Z' into the comments section below.

Oh crap, they did a game about Morgana's Persona!
jk
Swashbuckling. It's funny how that's come to mean flamboyantly adventurous or exciting when back in the 16th century it referred to the threatening noise of the blow of a sword against a shield
I have actually watched a few episodes of the show. It's fun. Been waiting for a good Zorro game for a long time.
Reminds me of the old licensed movie tie-in games, which I do enjoy sometimes. Haven’t heard of this animated show but I love the movie with Anthony Hopkins - and one of my favourite movie soundtracks by James Horner. May add this to my list when it’s cheap 👍
Reminds me so much of Sly Cooper, been playing Thieves in Time on my Vita... might give it a try, for the right price
Looks great. I'll pump my trombone all over this!
My kids would get a good laugh from this.
Have you ever heard a score trying so hard to sound like the Pirates of the Caribbean theme without breaching copyright law?
@AK4tywill I thought the exact same thing. Those first notes sound near identical, then it veers off into a less convincing melody. Quite funny, really.
Sounds like they chopped and rearranged the music from Pirates of the Carribbean.
@AndrehF
Had that in mind as well, though these snap-on grapple hooks (whip here) are a turnoff.
Seems like the platforming is not that flushed out here. Could be fun tho.
Nowadays the most fun games are the ones that come out of nowhere
ZORRO !
I saw Sly Cooper style game from the trailer. 😀
I swear I couldn't pay attention on the gameplay because of how similar the music is to the theme of Pirates of the Caribbean.
This looks atrocious
Game has some small potential but definitely not buying at full price. I'll wait for a $10 sale in a few years.
