The Wolf Among Us 2 is finally happening...in 2023. The player choice-based sequel will bring Bigby and the gang back together at some point next year, for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The game's first proper trailer features characters from The Wizard of Oz, like the Tin Man and the Scarecrow. It's a pretty good showing, and the title's art style is instantly recognisable to anyone familiar with the episodic original.
We're of the opinion that The Wolf Among Us was one of Telltale's best games, so we're looking forward to seeing where this follow-up takes established characters, and how it builds on what the first release got right.

For me, The Wolf Among Us was probably the best Telltale game, and this is looking like more of it. Good stuff, even if we'll be waiting a while.
Curious who the two fables were inside the hotel that Bigby came to arrest, was that Scarecrow & Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz?
I hope they rebuilt or improved on that game engine. I played a handful of the telltale games on ps4/pro and I had game crashes often. Which for a primarily cinematic, laid back, passive game was strange.
The Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands were easily the best two though. I would definitely consider getting this right away if they are done with episodic releases.
The Wolf among us was amazing.so im down with part 2.word up son
Still haven’t actually played the first one. I think it might be on PS Now?
@ShogunRok Second best for me after TWD Season 1.
But likely because that was my first and you never forget...
Wasn't expecting The Protomen! Game looks great! But does anyone know what happened to the original dev team? Is this still made by them or just a completely new team?
@JustPlainLoco I'm pretty sure it was yeah
@JustPlainLoco I think so. And maybe Dorothy on the couch?
@charbtronic They are now using the Unreal engine. It’s still an episodic game but they are going to finish all episodes before releasing them individually. It sounds like the time between episodes will only be a week or two.
This made me so much more excited for the second season. I was hoping for a 2022 release date but I’m ok waiting now after watching the livestream. Day one purchase for me!
I actually loved Tales of the Borderlands. It had genuine laugh out loud moments.
@nessisonett ps3 though. Its like 4 pound in the store usually mate
First one was great for what it was (only being beaten by the original walking dead). Hopefully this one will be, but certainly wont be paying full price for it. Reminds me I meant to track down the fables graphic novels.
So long as all the content is included on the disc & it's priced fairly, I am all in.
Really should play the original. Got all the graphic novels which I love, although not read the game adaptation one, but never got round to playing it. Guess I have about 12 months to rectify that. Also the comic is coming back so good news for Fables fans at the minute.
If you haven't played it Wolf Among Us is £3.24 on the PS Store
The only Telltale game that has gripped me enough to complete it. The 2nd is more than welcome.
i thought tell tale games shut down a few years ago...? obviously i'm mistaken but thats what i remember reading
@bremkat35 Just seen it’s 3 quid just now. Cheers!
This not releasing on switch ? Wouldve thought it could've run it
I hope the writing has improved because most of Telltales games stuff post Walking Dead was pretty bad.
Can we get an article on Atomic Heart? The game got a new trailer and release window and looks insanely sick, the people need to see!
Not much love here for their Sam & Max adaptions (albeit I'll admit the Lucasarts original is still the best one...sadly the "remasters' of the ps3 era ones seem to be Switch/Xbone only),or Back to the Future when the old Tell-tale games actually still had puzzles!
Also Tales of the Borderlands was great fun too for one of their later talkie adventures! Anyway, fingers crossed they get this right!
I hope you guys know that it's not the same Telltale Games that made the original TWAS, though I believe the current Telltale is working with an indie studio that consists of former old Telltale writers and staff.
@alexbolton2 you're not mistaken, that's what happened. They got bought up by someone in order to continue selling some of the games and for this comeback.
Despite being wary of it initially, The Wolf Among Us intrigued me so much I read comics again for the first time in decades and read the full run of Fables. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.
ABSOLUTELY YES PLEASE
I hope it runs as smooth as it looks in the trailer. I remember their games stuttering everytime the camera cut to a different shot. Kind of janky along with the facial animations.
This looks like they're improving on that front, so I'm looking forward to it.
@nessisonett Same here, never played the first game but always heard it was worth the time playing.
I’m good with a part 2. Loved part 1
It was always "The Walking Dead Season 1" first and then "The Wolf Among Us" a close second. It absolutely needed a 2nd season.

Best TTG series hands down, but don't bother with a trailer if it's 2023. I thought it would be within a 6 month timeframe as long as we have heard about it.
Also don't understand why not a single streaming service is working on a TV adaptation of Fables!? They're adapting practically everything these days (good and bad) and Fables would work perfect serialized.
