Well, it took a little while, but here are some new official screenshots from Hogwarts Legacy. We’d expected publisher Warner Bros to share these shortly after yesterday’s gameplay reveal, but it held onto the assets tighter than a Seeker’s broomstick. Fortunately, we can now share the PlayStation 5 and PS4 screenshots, which showcase combat, potion brewing, exploration, and education.
Take a look at the five brand new images for yourself below:
As we mentioned in the aftermath of yesterday’s State of Play presentation, the art direction is seriously on point in this package. We’re also excited by the sheer scale of activities available, from growing and nurturing plants – which can be used in combat! – to discovering underground dungeons and even attending classes.

I was very impressed. The game looks like it'll be great fun and certainly looks the part. I'll be getting it for sure.
So excited for this. Packed full of stuff!
I don't say this often and I'm not even that much of a HP fan, but day 1!
Was impressed with the game, seems like a lot of diversity of areas and lots of thought gone into each. Fingers crossed.
It launching on Switch too might explain why some areas and NPCs looked pretty bad
I might be buying the game day one for reasons (support devs as opposed to irrational hate mob) but I’m not convinced about the gameplay yet. I like how it looks though. 🤷🏼♂️
The last HP I loved were 5 and 6 on 360. This looks like it'll be even better
The environments all look wonderful. My only real worry is that combat might be a bit too easy but it's impossible to tell for now without playing it. Looking forward to it!
@JJ2 Jury's still out on the combat I agree, but I like that they're trying something that looks a little different as opposed to just a third-person shooter with wands.
@get2sammyb
I’d like to see it more focused on play your own adventure game (if that makes sense) than ‘combat’ game upgrading for more powerful spells and other repetitive stuff and rpg type upgrade that sound boring to me.
I hope JK had a say so in the story direction as much as possible and it ties into the HP series as a whole.. cannot wait to play! Support the devs they’ve apparently worked hard.. looking beautiful
Screenshot looks amazing.word up son
@JJ2 If you mean that it may look a little gamified, I agree. They need to understand that finding a secret passage on your own is ''better gameplay'' than killing 50 trolls with the same old spell. Not every game needs to be combat heavy to be enjoyable. But it's generally the easiest form of gameplay to implement.
Day one! This looks like a dream come true for any HP fan!
This game looks so great. Has there been any news on if there is a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade? I want to buy it so my bro who only has a PS4 Pro while I have a PS5 can play it too. I just want to play the PS5 version. I keep looking on google but there is not a clear answer
@CWill97 We won't know for sure until the game becomes available for pre-order sadly.
