@Nepp67 Considering the Guilty Gear Wiki itself uses they/them pronouns, I’d probably go with what they use. Also the ‘trap’ term is fairly gross.

I haven't watched the trailer, but thank you guys for telling me there they, I'm not really versed in recent GG's lore, so I would have called them a he, so thank you guys, I will edit this when I watch it.

@Nepp67 Actually the Japanese site does not refer to Testament as male: third person pronouns are ungendered in Japanese and thus the default translation is "him," the English pronoun often used when gender is unknown (the manga "Land of the Lustrous" has had similar issues related to this). Using Google translate on the site simply uses this default gendering, making it seem the site is saying "he" in relation to Testament.

What we do know, however, is that first-person pronouns are largely gendered: in the Japanese trailer Testament uses a first-person pronoun - either "watashi" or "atashi." Both of these are feminine, which when combined with the way the English site describes Testament seems to make them much more likely to be non-binary than male.

It's funny, previous artwork of Testament has depicted them as having a very definite masculine body type. Even their facial features were very masculine and so they seemed to have a kind of bishonen look. Testament now seems to look much more feminine. Are we going to see Poison level debates which will lead to the shrug of God?

It’s wicked seeing a character from the older games reappear! Now I just need Cliff and I’ll be golden. A form of Justice could be cool too… and Johnny would be rad… There’s just too many good Guilty Gear characters, I want them all

@3MonthBeef not entirely sure, the devs used they/them to refer to them, meaning they are likely NB. Guess we gotta wait and see when they come out
