Update: Well, well, well. As the infamous WaddleDeeKnows taught us recently, always consider pumping the brakes before you buy into the latest Twitter rumour. After huge hype on social media over the weekend – and throughout the morning, too – Kinda Funny Games host Greg Miller has ever so slightly walked back his tweet about impending PlayStation news.
For those who haven’t followed the context, Miller said on Sunday that he’s delaying recording podcast PS I Love You until later because it “might be a very interesting week for PlayStation if even one of the three rumours I’ve heard is true”. This, understandably, blew up, as it followed a Bloomberg article on Friday about Sony’s rumoured Project Spartacus subscription. Miller confirmed that one of the three rumours is related to Project Spartacus, but it’s unclear how much he knows beyond the aforementioned Bloomberg article.
To be fair to Greg, his enthusiasm was picked up by a number of “insiders”, all of whom have been fuelling the flames. But Miller clarified during livestream Kinda Funny Games Daily that this may not be seismic news for everyone, and the rumours he’s heard aren’t necessarily all connected. Unfortunately, we’re still dealing in cryptic statements.
“One of the [rumours] is my [kinda] thing and I will know momentarily [if it’s true], that I can assure you,” he explained. “I don't want to go into why I would know momentarily. I know that something today is happening that would then tell me a little bit. And I don't know what I'll be able to say publicly, but I can say things privately to you if it turns out that it's embargoed.”
So yes, it does sound like there is meaningful stuff afoot, but it’s not worth getting excited about until we have a firmer picture of what everyone’s talking about. For the record, we did some digging earlier today and weren’t able to get a clear idea of what so-called “insiders” are referring to. That doesn’t mean nothing is happening – but it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what’s being discussed here when people are speaking in such vague and ambiguous terms.
Original Story: Rumours of a huge week for PlayStation are really beginning to pick up pace across the web, largely fuelled by a recent Bloomberg report that said Sony could unveil Project Spartacus at some point over the next seven days. For those totally out of the loop, this revamped subscription service aims to combine PS Plus and PS Now, offering multiple paid tiers with various benefits.
So where's all the new hubbub coming from? From what we can tell, much of the hype is being generated by an intriguing Greg Miller tweet. Over the weekend, Miller wrote: "Man, looking like it might be a VERY interesting week for PlayStation if even one of the three rumors I’ve heard is true. As such, we’re gonna delay recording PS I Love You XOXO until Thursday."
Obviously Miller is a man in the know, and the delay of his PS I Love You XOXO podcast lends a lot of additional weight to the rumours that something is going down in the coming week. What's more, Miller's hint at "three" rumours suggests that Sony might have plans that go beyond the aforementioned Project Spartacus. Maybe a State of Play is heading our way? We'll soon find out.
Now, we know what some of you may be thinking: rumours with regards to PlayStation happen all the time, and it's usually social media "insiders" chasing clout. But when it's Bloomberg, Greg Miller, and a few other trusted sources all suggesting that something's probably happening, we tend to think that it's worth paying attention.
What do you think could be in store for PlayStation this week? Go wild with ridiculous predictions in the comments section below.

Seems more and more likely the Wednesday drop of PS+ game announcements may contain what's going on with Spartacus. Hard to get too excited with all the recent released games needing at least 6 months to finish everything I already have. But I'm sure I'll upgrade regardless.
Greg Miller knows a lot of people at PlayStation so if he is delaying their podcast until later in the week then something is for sure going down. He has access to embargos and would know the information beforehand. At the very least we're getting the Spartacus news but we'll see what else may drop.
Just give me a 60 fps Bloodborne patch and I'm golden. A man can dream.
I was just saying on the other article, I'd love to see Spartacus launching alongside a big online game.
It seems like the perfect platform to launch the online titles that we, as yet, know very little about.
@Shepherd_Tallon could it be factions?
Sony desperately needs a State of Play or something similar to Future of Gaming event.
I don't care about the whole Spartacus subscription nonsense at all, but Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7 are out and are undoubtedly success stories. Now I need some sort of a road map for upcoming Playstation games in general. Plus the release date for God of War Ragnarok. All we know are Insomniac Games projects. I need certainty.
C'mon Sony, blow my socks off.
Going to be a week to look forward to for PlayStation fans and players alike. Can’t wait to see what’s unveiled!
I'm calling it now.
Insomniac Games are working on yet another game for the PS5!
PS6 reveal?? (Need to type a little bit more)
Psvr2 price reveal and pre order information.
It's also worth mentioning that it was GDC last week, so you've got a lot of industry professionals all in the same place at once, which could lead to increased chatter about imminent announcements.
As always, temper your expectations, but it is beginning to sound like some big news is afoot!
@pip_muzz Another Ratchet & Clank game would be awesome. I know they just released one last year, but we need more than 1 in a generation like what unfortunately happened last gen. They left themselves in a nice position with Rift Apart to make another traditional Ratchet & Clank game, or make a Rivet & Kit game.
Sony buys Nintendo and Phil Spencer.
PlayStation gonna announce PlayStation Spartacus and there's going to be a lot of whining and complaining that it 'doesn't measure up to Game Pass' because Sony are smart enough not to put their First-Party Titles Day-and-Date into this new service.
I think we'll hear a bit more about PSVR2 but it won't be a substantial reveal of any sorts, just showing off the Headset, Controls & maybe a in-depth demonstration of Horizon Call of the Mountain.
I also believe that a new studio acquisition from PlayStation will be announced between now and the 11th of April, just a gut feeling I have, but my gut was right about the timing of the Haven Studio Acquisition, as for who? Either Ember Labs or Kojima Productions.
Sony will announce they are disbanding PS5 in favor of a PSV successor modeled after Switch and meshed with PSVR2. They will announce a handful of first party titles for the system but then stop production of all titles after a year and switch gears yet again announcing PS6.
PS Plus revamp will include the single new feature of a price hike doubling the price.
God of War Ragnarok will confirmed to be the last Playstation first party game to be released on a Playstation first. From then on, all Playstation software will be on PC, Xbox and Switch successor with looking to port to phones and tablets.
Probably more Elden Ring
I think a big event makes the most sense given the nature of the upcoming PS Studios lineup:
No specific release dates so some kind of event to clarify precise release timings and/or announce new games seems very likely.
EDIT: Oh wait, I forgot that MLB The Show is 1st party so there's MLB The Show 22 on April 5th but I don't think 1 known precise release date being a week from now changes much.
Just to keep everyone in check, he said “a VERY interesting week for PlayStation”. He didn’t specify what exactly. It doesn’t have to be video games announcements, it could be a big casting announcement for a movie from PlayStation Studios for example. Temper your expectations.
So the rumors are Spartacus, PS5 Pro, and what's the third rumor?
Sony are doing a remake of The Goonies, with Miller taking the role of Chunk. Game tie in blah blah etc
@dschons I second, triple and quadruple that, still hoping it gets announced in the near future.
Exciting times. Trying to keep my expectations in check, though.
I’m not really interested in their new subscription service, unless you know, Sony puts their excellent first party titles on it day one. But that’s not going to happen.
To be honest, I don’t really give much of a damn about potentially saving a bit of money through a subscription service. If there is news I’d like it to be a release date for PSVR2.
@Boucho11 Yes, that would be very very nice.
Trying to keep expectations in check, but there are even more rumours than usual swirling around over the last few months, so it's hard not to get a little caught up in it all.
Realistic predictions though:
The rest will be the tier rumours we've already heard.
N.i.c.e. word up son
The only thing that will catch my interest (and finally be happy or dissapointed, who knows?) is Spartacus. Couldn't care less about all the "popular" games like Spiderman, God or War, etc.
So theres potentially 3 different announcements? Apart from the ps plus reshape what could the other two be I wonder.
If I had to take a guess it could be any of these.
1, The Last of Us 2 Multiplayer
2, Horizon Forbidden West Multiplayer
3, The New VR Release Date and Price
4, An Acquisition Announcement but Bigger Than Usual
5, God of War Ragnarok Release Date
6, Jak and Daxter Remake or New Entry
I love jumping on here on a slow Sunday and seeing an interesting article to read like this. Even if it doesn't come true.
Imagine the shock if nothing happens this week
If anything is to be learned this gen about PlayStation, then temper those expectations. This isn't the same company that turned everything around with the PS4. Still years ahead of the competition with regards to exclusives and some fantastic tech, but I'm expecting yet another tone-deaf PR fumble with this Subscription Service. Prove me wrong, Jim Ryan.
@Gr8VngnzN4esAngr Couldn't have said it better myself.
I hope one of the three is backwards compatibility, please let one of them be that. In terms of an acquisition maybe, I hope it's Square Enix.
CrunchyRoll tier with access to previous generation games and I am sold.
The next acquisition Sony will announce is buying Capcom.
Personally not excited at all for these announcements. PlayStation has scored quite a few own goals this generation with anti-consumer moves that it's felt to me like death by a thousand cuts. Nail in the coffin for me was GT7 (one of my most beloved gaming franchises).
Low expectations/interest for Spartacus, I'm guessing The Show 22 will launch with the highest tier and they'll push PS1 - PS3 classics as a heavy sell.
Extremely interested in a state of play the day after and it especially makes sense if they expect the reaction to Spartacus to be weak and need to remind everyone about the big incoming exclusives
@UltimateOtaku91
I agree with number 1and 4.
I wish for number 3 and 6.
But for number 5 I fear a delay to March 2023 might be announced later.
They might announce Naughty Dogs next main project.
First of all I would advise everyone to be cautious with Spartacus...most people will be disappointed! No new releases at launch (at least nothing major) and probably a small library of PS1/PS2/PS3 games so yeah, let's not be that hyped...
For the rest of the rumours, it would be very good if they acquired the Metal Gear or Silent Hill IP for Kojima, but I doubt it!
I've long had an inkling that they'll acquire FromSoft, and I'm sticking to my guns on it
I'll be honest. I'd actually be annoyed with Sony if they announced a PS5 Pro anytime soon. And i dont think its going to happen - i can see the logic in a smaller model though amd wouldnt be surprised if that was in the works.
I expect we will see something with VR2, Spartacus - and then who knows. I always like a good chunk of Playstation news though so lets wait and see
@munstre If Sony do drop their games day one on PlayStation Now, they might as well just sell out to Xbox.
I'm expecting Spartacus news and maybe a surprise State of Play, nothing more.
If anything else is revealed, it'll be a nice welcome bonus!
i'm looking forward to seeing whats to come
What they really need to do is give us the proper native backwards compatibility we deserve. Full ps1, ps2, psp, ps vita AND ps3 games playable, with all your old digital and disc purchases just working and available to everyone (not locked behind a pay wall) Trust me; i'm not holding my breath...
As usual I'm going into this with no expectations because the more people seem to hype stuff up the more disappointing it tends to be.
Hopefully they're not delaying PS I Love You because of an Xbox acquisition. Kinda tired of acquisitions (especially the conversations that follow them).
Here's hoping for Spartacus, maybe a SoP, or my true hope: an actual full-fledged showcase announcing some games. There's nothing like seeing that PSstudios logo pop up.
I just only care for kiddie games on PS5.
Don't even care with AAA games.
@ShogunRok Has anyone else seen the leak showing Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum PS+ tiers - all showing a tri-monthly fee? Bronze* starting at $9.99 (every 3 months) and the Platinum at $59.99.
*The Bronze looks to just offer online play and demos.
@Anti-Matter You could definitely benefit from an improved PS+ then, one that includes many different games to stream/play.
@zupertramp it’s fake. It’s a terrible and inconsistent mock up and you even have price mismatches. E.g . One price says $29.99 and then directly below it says $24.99.
It is completely off-brand and in no way looks Sony
@zupertramp
I don't even subscribed PS+ as I don't want to rent / stream the games. I only play games in physical media.
@Ward_ting lol i think you're absolutely right. didn't even notice that. I was kinda excited that I might could save some money on a tier that doesn't give me crap games I'm never going to play.
Edit: though i would say it does seem a little on-brand what with it mirroring the trophy tiers and all.
@Anti-Matter fair enough.
I am tired of these Playstation rumors because none of them turn out to be true. Whether it is the Project Spartacus we have been hearing about for ages or secret remake of a major PSOne era RPG, or MGS1 Remake, or an Irish singer recording songs for a secret Playstation game, Chrono Cross Remake, Xenogears Remake, Legend of Dragoon remake/sequel, Silent Hill game, or an earth-shattering state of play coming, etc., etc. It is all BS that gaming websites and Twitter "journalists" keep spreading but they never materialize.
Sony might have something big, but always keep expectations low.
A sequel Uncharted movie announced
The first one was ok, most belief could be suspended until they miraculously hooked giant nets under massive ships sunk into the sand and then helicoptered them out. That was just too far lol.
If PlayStation Spartacus prices are real then my family will switch over to Xbox. No way am i paying that amount.
Gotta be Spartacus with the new PS+ games do next week and my go big prediction… VITA 2 announced!!! 🤣
@Rob_230
Both the PS5 and Series X are better future proofed than the PS4 and XBONE were. I don’t see a mid cycle upgrade this generation. There’s no need to.
Especially AMD has all but confirmed that FSR 2.0 will be supported on PS5 and Series X in the near future. Plus UE5’s TSA solution baked into that engine. That gives developers options to run lower resolutions while maintaining high visual clarity and higher frame rates.
The mass adoption of higher resolution sets and monitors (1440p and 4K) caught Microsoft and Sony off guard last generation, and both their consoles were relatively underpowered even in 2013 when they released. So the mid cycle upgrade was their solution for customers who wanted their console to take advantage of their new TV sets.
@Snick27 may as well go ahead and switch over now then. The alleged one month price of Spartacus is the same as the current one month price of PS+.
The fact that I know what it is and all I have is a few friends in the industry and putting 2 and 2 together, means it must be pretty common knowledge for anyone who isn't just a punter.
@Anti-Matter thats ps now not ps+...
The power of the ‘Could’.
What I want: PS+ and PS Now (which will start supporting PS5 versions/releases) bundled into one service along with the announcement that PS1/PS2 classics will be made available on the ps store and some of those titles will be added as part of the subscription. I'd add PS3 to that but I don't see that working due to the different architecture so that will probably remain streaming only...but hopefully they'll at least announce more titles are coming. They seem to have completely dropped PS3 support for PS Now.
I don't expect anything comparable to Gamepass' day 1 free releases like Microsoft is doing. Unless it's for the live service games Sony is planning, which are in essence just glorified F2P games anyways.
Not even excited over this given the past couple of years under Jim when it comes to incoming announcements like this. Instead im prepared more so for some bs.🙃
With PSVR2 at GDC last week I hope we get more info on this.
Honestly I’m worried about Spartacus, mostly that it will ruin PS+ / make it more expensive, but also that the higher tiers won’t compete well with Game Pass. Hope I’m wrong.
Surely either of those announcements has to also be accompanied by games that’s the Sony way.
I can see Sony buying Deviation Games.
Similar to Haven, founded 2021 by former AAA devs.
Sony signed them for an exclusive game. Likely a live action, based on their past experience being with Call of Duty and Bioshock.
They recently expanded to a second team in Canada.
To me, it makes too much sense after Haven acquisition.
BRING IT ON PLAYSTATION!
@Sam_ATLUS they have us gamers like hungry little defenseless wingless birds, waiting for momma to bring back the food, mouths open, chirping because we are hungry.. I just don't get it, just let the info drop, move on.. The buzz and swirl without knowing specifics is just basically a "control issue"...Sony needs to stop with the mind games..
Don’t expect it will be the same as GP. Otherwise you will be disappointed. Microsoft is using the money from their other business which Sony simply don’t have. Then again Microsoft only have a very few first party games since GP launch and some people didn’t notice about it.
Imagine there will be Spartacus news.
I don't want or expect it to be like game pass but if the more expensive tiers don't include much else than the ability to play older games I'll pass, personally can't see the appeal in going back to the PS1/2 days, whenever I have tried, the games I loved never seem to hold up as well as I remember.
Suppose we will find out soon enough, not expecting anything ground breaking but would love it if they sprung a cracking surprise on us.
Factions or Sly Cooper 5 or both. All I want really...actually and no price hike for basic PS+. I don't care about the rest of Spartacus but if the rumored price of basic Spartacus is true that will cause me to un-subscribe at least until the next online focused game I play.
1) Sony buys Konami
2) PS5 is getting PS1-3 and PSP/V support (even if it's slowly added throughout the console's life)
3) Announces a PS Hybrid console as the successor to the Vita (with cross buy/play support)
I'll probably be meh on anything else.
@lolwhatno not really. It's just stuff based on speculation and rumours that leads to what's already covered here. I'm more interested in why Schreier and Miller are the ones allowed to blow the whistle early, while other journalists have to keep quiet and pretend to feed off them, even though they've probably known just as much about it for months. It's like these two have become gaming journo mafia heads or something.
@lolwhatno yeah, it's probably just that they have put a date on it, and tend to be quite reliable.
I want a Vita 2. I actually started up my old Vita this morning after a six months “retirement”. There are still platinums to obtain!
"Teehee, I know something that you guys don't but I'm just going to post a cryptic message so that my tweet gets likes and votes and wtv".....this crap pisses me off. Either say what it is or don't say anything at all.
@Martin_C I can never permanently put my Vita away, and I can't explain why. It was the best console ever imho.
My humble hope is that Spartacus will enable me to play PS1 games. Specifically Legend of Dragoon and Megaman Legends. That's it.
@NomNom It is a beautiful machine.
Don’t tempt me @invictus4000! Understand, that I would use that power from a desire to do good. But through me it would wield a power to great and terrible for my marriage to imagine.
Just saw a leaked screenshot for PS Plus Neo and what each Tier includes. Get ready for a massive price hike folks!!! The equivalent of PS+ as it is now (Gold tier) is going to be $39.99 every 3 months. Platinum will be $59.99 every 3 months. If I get time later, I'll post up more details of what each tier includes along w/ full pricing. Go live date is 04.07.22
Legend of Dragoon remake or remaster, Heavenly Sword sequal with Remastered part 1, Demon Souls 2, Killzone reboot, new Infamous game. The Spartacus stuff i could not care any less.
@DETfaninATL If they are that stupid they are lost show a printscreen of your link or a source.
Bronze Tier - $9.99 / 3 months. Includes:
Online play & 'Free' game demos
Silver Tier - $29.99 / 3 months. Includes:
Bronze tier & game streaming
Gold Tier - $39.99 / 3 months. Includes:
Silver tier, monthly free games & monthly store discounts
Platinum Tier - $59.99 / 3 months. Includes:
Gold tier, exclusive offers at PS store & access to select PS3, PS4, PS5 titles streaming.
Will post up the screen shot later if I can figure out how.....if someone knows how to post up a screenshot here please LMK and I'll be glad to share what I have.
@DETfaninATL Pretty sure that screenshot has been debunked as fake
@awp69 I REALLY hope you're right! Those prices are insane. But we shall see I guess.....
Kind of ironic that the only site I read telling me to temper my expectations is also the only one who ever even hyped me to begin with.
@MFTWrecks Doesn't change the fact it's been posted pretty much everywhere, though.
I wonder if Colin said ‘I heard something like this too’ 🤔
👀👀👀
Hahaha
This smug arrogant Jim Ryan led Sony won't say anything until the day before or of if anything is really afoot. This guy has no idea how to control the narrative like Shawn Layden did. He would always get out in front of stuff like this and control the hype. Ryan is a clueless deer in headlights.
After reading the update:
Some people in this community have been saying recently, and I'm starting to agree, that all of these "insiders" should just be ignored. (Although I've always liked Miller)
They hype people up for clicks and reactions, then by the time an announcement comes it can't possibly meet expectations and everyone is deflated afterwards.
It's the same every time.
@DETfaninATL Got to be fake as that's straight up far far worse then Gamepass and charging way way more. Gamepass offers everything that Platinum tier has for roughly the same price yearly plus more like 1st party day one releases and nearly every game on Gamepass getting a discount while its on Gamepass.
We're going to hear a load of nothing that's what I think is in store.
Honestly, I am not very happy about it. There is a leaked list on the net with packages, features, and prices. For example, from now on, monthly store discounts are for paid subscribers only. Practically, we will have to pay for everything on PS. First, I will be forced to pay 10 USD for the minimum package instead of the current price for PSN Plus. Yes, I usually purchase a year subscription at a 30-50% discount. But with these prices, I will have to pay 60 USD per year even with the max deal. Second, it seems they took all good and free stuff and made it a subscription only.
@NSC9 I believe that leak with prices has been debunked.
Sounds mega promising, and judging by the PS staffs responses, looking forward to the announcement.
@NSC9 why do you think there won't be a lower price for a year subscription? That's pretty much standard with just about every subscription service that exists. $10 a month is the current price for PS+.
Also, the store discounts are already an existing benefit of PS+.
@awp69 I hope so, and thanks for the update! It looked real to me, with this crazy world today, inflation, the war in Europe... Prices are going up, and it would be a miracle if they offered something affordable, especially with higher prices on PS5.
@Milktastrophe Current year subscription for PSN plus is 59,99 USD. So 60 divided by 12 months, you get it without a discount for 5 USD per month. If you catch a deal, you can get it for half price, 2.5 USD. : ). But it does not matter. It seems that the leak was fake.
@NSC9 the current monthly price of PS+ is $10.
The only pricing info that has been leaked is for monthly prices, which puts the lowest tier at the same price as PS+ (and the highest tier cheaper than one month of both PS+ and Now).
There's no reason to believe to that a yearly subscription won't be a better deal, like the current subscriptions, as there is no confirmed info yet and cheaper longer term prices are extremely common for subscriptions to get people signed up for longer.
@Milktastrophe We are talking about US dollars and multiple months of subscription. Here is the fresh info just taken from PS store USA : ). Check it.
PlayStation Plus 12-Month Subscription
$59.99
I believe you missed the point. With liked list (search for PS Neo package on google), there were no cheaper options than 10 USD even with multiple months on subscription. You know what, here is a text copy of that leak. Now you see what I was talking about:
"The price of each PlayStation Plus Neo Tier and services are:
PlayStation Plus Neo Platinum - $59.99 every 3 months
Online Play
Free Game Demos
Game Streaming
Monthly Free Games
Monthly Store Discounts
Exclusive Offers at the PlayStation Store
Access to Select PS3, PS4, PS5 Titles Streaming
PlayStation Plus Neo Gold - $59.99 every 3 months
Online Play
Free Game Demos
Game Streaming
Monthly Free Games
Monthly Store Discounts
PlayStation Plus Neo Silver - $39.99 every 3 months
Online Play
Free Game Demos
Game Streaming
PlayStation Plus Neo Bronze - $29.99 every 3 months
Online Play
Free Game Demos"
... but, as I said, it does not matter. It is fake.
Why don't people just wait for official news before hopping on board the hype train
So he’s provided nothing twice. Classic KF
@NSC9 like you said, that's all fake info from a made up screenshot. The actual credible leak puts the tiers priced at $10 / $13 / $16 per month.
https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2022/02/ps5-ps4s-revamped-ps-plus-sub-allegedly-outlined-in-report
As only monthly prices have been leaked, they need to be compared with the existing monthly prices. It's not equivalent to compare a yearly subscription price to a monthly one.
I always expect nothing unless it's a show from around early summer or the end of the year.
"Article: Get HYPED"
"Update: Maybe Don't"
Not to worry, I never followed the original advice.
Hope it's not lackluster 🤣 always fall for the hype!
@Shepherd_Tallon no offense did you just learn this , always take any rumors with a grain of salt till anything is announced. people seem to read every rumor these days and they hype it up themself. curiosity always gets the best of us.
@Old-Red I don't see any journalistic value in what Jason Schrier is doing, actually, it's really slimy to spoil entertainment reveals. It would be so much more fun for the rest of us if the companies just got to make their announcements. Just imagine the effort that hundreds of people went to not to let any details out ready for an impactful reveal, then some leech like Schrier just feeds off you and looks for another mark.
@mrbone I could put all the great games that I make on gamepass and I would be only a couple of games off the number that they have.
Always love it when Sony gets blasted because some dude has some inside scoop. So people dont cry when its not some massive announcements.
Lets hope i dont have to fund some broken subsidised gamepass for that annoying cry for value.
It would be such a joke that GT is the way it is to fund that crap.
@Martin_C We don't need a vita, just a handheld that can play the PS5 remotely and can play downloaded PS4 games and indies
@ThatMusicFan I'd be more than happy if they didn't change PS+ at all.
Sounds like Sony told him to reel back his comment, since they need more time to announce some stuff haha
I would love if it's PSVR2 news/release date.
Not speaking about Greg, Colin Moriarty, or anybody else whose real name is tied to them, but some of these accounts calling themselves insiders are anonymous like Millie A and yet still don't post details about things they claim to know. What possible repercussions exist for them when they are already anonymous?
I pray Schreier and Greg are right this time because the whole "insider leaks" things is already out of control with all these fakers who are drip feeding ambiguity and riding off one lucky shot in the dark forever afterwards. If they are wrong, it would be fantastic if no news site publishes another rumor-hype article again, but that's too much wishful thinking.
@Martin_C
But it cannot stay on PS1!
No! .....no it cant.
.......what must I do?
*Mods his PS5 to read PS1 discs.
What the hell is Sony doing?
All we have really seen is God of War from their first party and not that much from it.
Again I'm not surprised to see Greg backtracking pretty quick. He got what he wanted. Eyes or rather ears on his podcast and now he's covering his ass. I imagine these are "throwaway" rumours and none of them are even close to realistic. If we get a spartacus announcement we've done well given Sony's recent track record with announcements. Expect very little and you won't be disappointed. This hype nonsense only makes mediocre announcements that much worse.
The new Sly Cooper game (or reboot/remake) announcement hopefully
Should have quoted Kratos expectations line to Atreus directly in the subheading. Very disappointed!
Not arsed. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is where it's at.
I hope they announce bloodborne 2 & bb pc port 🙏
@rival_fight
I think it’s funny that Jason S is probably the only one who vaguely knows some info (probably true) and they all come out pretending they know serious stuff like ‘I’m Spartacus ‘. Haha
Gaming sites are tabloids though. Don’t expect them to give up on juicy rumour articles.
Nothing of note is going to happen this week. Why does everyone fall for this? If anything, the supposed reveals will be something everyone expected.
@Apfelschteiner yes please let me know a few as I couldn’t find any thing interesting to play. Know about Hades but not my cup of tea.
@twitchtvpat Ah speculation and anticipation are fun.
Everyone wants to be excited about something, so we come here and banter about it.
But more and more lately the surprise announcement is either ruined, or an announcement is over-hyped and everyone feels let down afterwards.
Greg Miller, to be fair, is an admitted PlayStation nerd, much like most of us here. So I get that he got over-excited. I'd still be disappointed to see him descend in to that category of "insider who heard a thing from a person who knows a person" and then tweets about it.
I get that tweeting about rumours is a way of life these days. It's just not very constructive.
@mrbone Sorry if I was misleading. I was just joking. I have made 0 great games and yet I'm not far off the number of great games made by Xbox on Game Pass. PS+ collection is better than Game Pass. The only game I have a connection to is that a friend of mine is in a game hobbist's group with the guy who developed CrossCode, and that game is supposed to be really good. Well, I have translated for a few mobile games, but I didn't make any.
@invictus4000 Buy a cheap 2nd hand PS3!
@Milktastrophe Uhh, you still did not get what I am talking about. On the leaked graphic, there was no option to buy 6 or 12 months, and with that, there was no chance to spare some money on a subscription. Still, YOU are the one talking exclusively about the monthly subscription, sharing cropped screenshots no one asked (without 12 months price) even if I corrected you multiple times, and trying to answer my comment with content not related to it. I am not even sure why I am explaining all of this to you. I guess because I just got a bunch of notifications on Pushsqare...
@NSC9 you're the one not getting it. That leaked graphic was totally fake. The actual leak was only the monthly prices, so those needed to be compared to the existing monthly prices. Now that it's actually been announced, you were wrong and buying a yearly subscription is cheaper than going month-to-month. And as expected, the equivalent of the current PS+ tier is the same yearly price as current--the leaked monthly price was the same as the current monthly price.
