Lucky's Tale, the original virtual reality platformer, is heading to PlayStation VR very soon indeed. Not to be confused with New Super Lucky's Tale, which is a non-VR follow-up that launched on PS4 a couple of years ago, the VR title arrives on Sony's headset tomorrow, 7th April 2022.
Almost no fanfare has been made about this; we discovered the news via Trophy tracking websites such as PSNProfiles and Exophase, which have pages showing the list of trinkets for the VR game. However, if you search for Lucky's Tale on the PlayStation Store, a page for the PSVR title is indeed ready and waiting.
The only official confirmation we can find relating to this is the following response from the game's Twitter account:
So, there you have it: Lucky's Tale will be available on PSVR in a matter of hours, so you can see how this little fox got his start. Will you be checking this one out, or does New Super Lucky's Tale offer up enough foxy action? Rummage through the bins in the comments section below.

oh cool. I actually rather liked New Super Lucky's Tale and the plat had some genuine challenging trophies.
Got my headset set up for this. I played it back when it came out on the Rift but I no longer have that so I was delighted when I discovered this on the Store the other day. It's not the best VR game but it's relaxing and my only issue with it was the lack of control of the camera so hopefully that has been addressed here. A similar issue exists with Astro Bot but it worked quite well there.
A few of the usual PSVR YouTubers reviewed it a few days ago. Sounds decent.
I played the non-VR version and loved it. The VR version made me quite ill quite rapidly but I remember at least the fist level being the same? Anyway VR or no VR I recommend picking up one of the versions of this game if you like 3D platformers!
I’ve had this one on my Quest 2 wish list for a while, and I really enjoyed New Super Lucky’s Tale…. Guess now I have to decide if it’s worth playing through a screen door in exchange for trophies.
Definitely worth dusting off the ole VR headset to earn the platinum in this.
I still can't buy this. It doesn't even show up in search results on the Store anymore either. If you Google it however it will direct you to the game's Store page.
Another VR game I will probably buy and never play, but still excited!
If it comes to PSVR2, I'll check it out.
