With the end of the football season approaching, and the frightening prospect of Liverpool winning a quadruple – save our souls, Karim Benzema! – it seems like EA Sports wants to get FIFA 22 in as many hands as humanly possible. The game, one of All PS Plus Games for May 2022, also appears to be joining EA Play’s subscription service on PS5 and PS4.
Speculation comes courtesy of some updated Microsoft Store listings, where the soccer simulation has been tagged with an Xbox Game Pass logo. It’s worth pointing out that any Electronic Arts titles added to the Redmond firm’s subscription service is usually part of EA Play, which is bundled in with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
EA Play is, of course, also available on both the PS5 and PS4, so you may have multiple ways to play FIFA 22 starting next week. Interestingly, failed first-person shooter Battlefield 2042 is also expected to be added to the service, which is incredibly early considering the title launched roughly six months ago and has yet to receive its first season of content.
If you want to know what other games are available, you can find All EA Play Games on PS5, PS4 through the link.

Are we officially going to chuck Battlefield in the 'failed' bin? Not that I disagree.
@Golem25 Oh most definitely, apparently they're already planning the next entry in the series so this will be abandoned soon enough.
Is that title weird or is it just me? English isn't my first language so it could be me
What a shame. I really like the Battlefield series. Battlefield 1942 (with the expansions), was my favorite game for a very long time. Battlefield: Hardline was the first game in the series I was not interested in at all, but then Battlefield 2042 came and really sapped the last of my interest in the series. So much potential wasted because they tried to capture the attention of too many audiences and forgot what Battlefield was. I'd love a game like Battlefield 4 with more modes, more features, and prettier graphics.
@SoftMandalorian English is my only language and I had to click this article to understand what the headline meant, so it isn’t just you.
@SoftMandalorian It is a bit but they’ve used the word ‘targeting’ as it’s used in football and therefore a bit of a pun. It does make the title somewhat hard to understand though 😂
@SoftMandalorian It is a touch weird - it reads as if Fifa22 is 'targeting' EA Play 'with' Battlefield 2042 as if its chasing or competing against EA Play with BF2042. It perhaps may make more sense if targeting was replaced by 'headed to'. You could also add 'along' in the sentence so you get 'Fifa 22 is headed to EA Play along with BF2042' for perhaps more clarity...
It makes sense for Fifa - The biggest month in the Football calendar and with enough time before the inevitable Fifa 23 releases to not impact too much on its sales - maybe even help as people who haven't played Fifa in a while may enjoy it and go on to get the 'latest'.
BF2042 seems a Disaster. It seems that the latest patch maybe has sorted many of the 'game-play' issues that plagued the game at launch, but maybe too late for many of those that spent money on it and given up as the base content is severely lacking compared to previous games -and they also delivered Single Player content. Considering they dropped SP, the main MP suite was embarrassingly poor. Not many maps or modes, very few weapons etc and the big effects (tornados) are pointless and got tedious very quickly - let alone the fundamental change to Squad based combat that made BF what it was!
When it comes to EA Play, its almost a last ditch effort to try and get enough players into the matches so they are not filled mostly with Bots!
Doesn't FIFA always land about May time every year on EA play?
@Scouse_Pirlo Yes. For years they are doing that. Adding NHL title aswell May-June. That is expected. It is unexpected to see FIFA on PS+, but once they gave NBA 2K. So why not.
Go Liverpool!
I'm not sure what the title is supposed to mean but this makes this PS Plus month absolutely awful. Would have been great if it wasn't already being added to EA Play. Also BF 2042 is decent and always has full teams despite the narrative. I don't necessarily like it and I have a lot more fun with Battlefield V and Battlefront 2015 even today, but yeah it's clearly not "awful".
They should just give us BF 2042 in general.
That way, they can keep alive.
EAplay another over looked value gamepass offers
Seems mad they aren’t just making BF2042 entirely free to play. It seems the options are that or abandon it entirely. Giving it to those with Gamepass/EA Play doesn’t seem like it will make a lot of difference.
Last FIFA I played was FIFA 98....PS1. Just saying...
I was all set to spunk 70 sheets on the gold edition of 2042, then I played the beta, then I watched the game played on YouTube and I was asking all the way along, 'what do you get for the extra over the std Ed'? We still have no idea what you get with these ridiculous battle passes but I've saved 90 quid and feel sorry for anyone who bought it. If you pre ordered then more fool you.
The game is call of battle zone at worst. Just a terribly badly designed game.
Hell let loose may be tatty around the edges, but by 'eck it's so good, especially when you squad up with friends.
@eM1x029 uhm....okay? congrats?
I'll take it for free 😏 ea play has given decent games away. But surely ea play should be merged with new premium plus?
@kejsi-sensei apparently, I've been asleep for couple of decades, hahah. I'll try the new one (or whatever we get with the PS PLUS), same as the NBA '21. It's just that I don't like sport games on a console...
@eM1x029 no better time to jump back in now!
