Baldo: The Guardian Owls was released 27 August 2021, and its beautiful Ghibli-esque artwork quickly drew comparisons to Ni no Kuni. Developer NAPS Team has now released a massive update, called The Three Fairies, which introduces an entirely new adventure, free of charge.
The new adventure is called, of course, The Three Fairies, and is estimated to take around 10 hours to complete. There is also a new assisted mode for both The Three Fairies and the base game, which can be turned on or off at any time. This assisted mode will cause your health and Orbs to slowly recharge and more pinpoints to be shown on the map.

The game is also -50% on PSN right now. I think I'll bite.
I like the look of it. Do we know if the bugs and glitches mentioned in the day one reviews ever got fixed?
Whoa, a free update that ads TEN hours of new gameplay for free?
That's unheard of in offline single player games, I wish more companies did this.
Great they kept at it. I’ll pick it up one day for sure.
Is this game still a complete turd? Because 10 extra hours of a bad game only makes it a longer chore.
Stumbled onto this via my YouTube feed, but easily the most asked question was about bugs/ improvements. 🙄 Saw handful of replies there & on twitter it has,but didn't get a huge amount of reviews much less follow up...the most prominent one on PS being PS Universe.
Apparently the "assist" mode is a big positive to the distinct lack of directions in the original game's quests....this all ahead of an intended physical release so can't be planning many more patches if so. Though looks like a leap of faith & liking Zelda like action,so bit of a leap of faith.🤔
I've heard a lot of the issues have been fixed. I'm waiting for Youtube channel Switchup to do a deep dive video but they said it was much better.
Youtube channel Switchup just published their updated review of Baldo.
Well I bit at the 50% off and I thought this morning 'I'll just have a little look' and I've just turned it off after 5 hours!
Faultless so far and I am really loving it. Couple of minor niggles, but that is just my own preferences, but for a tenner, you really cannot go wrong IMO.
