One Piece Odyssey was announced back in March, but outside of some screenshots and a couple of brief trailers, we're yet to see any real gameplay. And this is despite the fact that the game's scheduled to launch later this year.
Fortunately, it looks like fresh footage is heading our way soon. One Piece Odyssey will have a playable demo at Anime Expo 2022, which begins on Friday the 1st July. It would make sense for Bandai Namco to drop a proper gameplay trailer around the same time.
Even if it doesn't happen, we'll no doubt have gameplay videos coming out of the expo itself, alongside impressions from those who go hands-on. Either way, if you're looking forward to One Piece Odyssey, next week should provide some excitement.
It's also possible that Bandai Namco will announce a release date during the event. Again, Odyssey has always had a 2022 release window, so we're going to need a confirmed date in the relatively near future.

Cautiously looking forward to it.
Excited to get any One Piece news in general since weāre on a manga break. Odyssey looks pretty cool. Iām interested in learning if the new characters have some whacky devil fruits, if thereās some sort of combo attacks with certain characters, if other pirates/marines crash the party, etc. Is there a special edition/collectorās edition announced? Iād debate buying it. Wait, was the dub announced for this as well? Iād probably still go with the Japanese subs though.
Iām happy Oda is taking a ābreakā (we all know heās probably still plotting/drawing on the side). He deserves it. But, hopefully some live action news comes out too. Film Red is right around the corner. One Pieceās hype is close to being at an all-time high. I hope more people get into the fantastic franchise one way or another!
@CWill97 i love all you said. thank you for being a ONE PIECE fan like me. i am also looking forward to this game and anything One Piece is welcomed in my book (except for the live-action, though I guess I'm intrigued)...
@CWill97 @strawhatcrew: Another OP fan here, agreeing with what you two wrote.š
Fingers crossed we'll get a downloadable public demo after Anime Expo ends!
