Is digimon next order any good? Really liked the hacker's memory games (despite knowing absolutely nothing about the series, just was fun evolving and devolving everything) but next order is a very different thing from what I have seen.

Something I used to be interested in before Premium.
@nookie_egg It's definitely a more acquired taste and aims mostly at fans of the very first Digimon World.
Personally I adore it but re-training your Digimon every time on rebirth gets really tedious even if you progressively unlock features that makes this better, it remains tedious for a long time.
Picked up Headlander. It's only recently hit my radar and I was waiting for a drop.
@WinterschneeFee cool thanks for that, probably won't bother then. Cheers 👍
@nookie_egg I loved digimon next order as someone who played the original digimon world on ps1 it brought back some great memories. Besides that though it's a really solid game.
Shin megami is less than 20 euro on Amazon and other outlets by the way so PSNs 'deal' is pretty crap really
@themuckman
Playing Miles Morales and have 15 other games downloaded to my external HDD from Premium.
I'm not buying another game until Ragnorok
@Blaze215 I have no such attachments to the original I'm afraid. I'd never bothered with anything digimon up until buying cyber sleuth on a whim. Had 300 hours on the 2 combined 😂 I'll see. Thanks man
@Richnj I had a great time with it. Recommended
@Netret0120
I’m in a similar boat.
The only games I’m planning on buying on PlayStation for the rest of the year is Modern Warfare 2 and Ragnarok. Although I may not get GOW at release considering my love/dislike relationship with the 2018 title. May wait for the first price drop on a physical copy.
@OrtadragoonX
I always tell myself that If I won't play it immediately, wait for a sale.
Since you weren't that into the 2018 GOW, you may just wait till next year and continue playing whatever you are playing
@Netret0120
That’s probably what I’ll end up doing.
I’ll snag a physical copy once it hits around 40 bucks.
@nookie_egg Digimon World Next Order is one of my all-time favorite games. That being said, it DOES have a grind issue and you can't run (Like there's no button to make you move faster). It's a large open world game where if you like the Digital World, then it's a ton of fun having your digimon partners run/float next to you. However, it's based off the original Digimon Tamagotchi/Digimon World 1 concept where the focus is on raising and breeding your partners. So because of that, your digimon die and are reborn a lot.
I personally love it, because I love the breeding concept and the digivolving but it annoys some people. You'll be in the middle of a goal or some mission, then your digimon dies of old age so you have to re-raise your partner to where they originally were to continue with the goal you were on.
