PS Store Mid-Year Deals Sale Includes 600+ PS5, PS4 Game Discounts

Quite a bit of my wishlist is on sale, but with PS+++ arriving tomorrow I'm waiting on Returnal and anything else in there before I buy anything else for a while.

This is just...bizarre from them. Half of my wishlist that's on this sale will be on ps plus this time tomorrow. Would love to be able to see sales info after each sale.

Only one wishlist game on sale which is Trek To Yomi but I'll pass just now, not because of the price, just got too much to play and not a lot of time to play at the minute.

@velio84 Not sure if you're upgrading to PS Plus Extra but Prey seems to be included in that (not the Deluxe though, I guess) - just a heads up

With all the games coming to Plus tomorrow, in addition to the hundreds I already have backlogged (!) then I'll swerve this sale!

Nah, thanks. I'm saving my money on TLoU Part 1. Besides, I still have Vice City and San Andreas Remakes to finish first.

I strongly recommend if someone sees a game they are interested in on sale, google it first and see if there are better deals on other storefronts. That's what I usually do and it's worked out really well. A lot of times the games are much cheaper on Amazon and the likes

PSPlusExtra has killed my interest in buying indie titles mostly.

It'll probably end up on ps+ extra, but been waiting for Chicory to go on a decent sale for ages and £6.50 is good enough for me. It doesn't appear to have even been on Gamepass so probably not going to be 'free' any time soon.

Other than that, I'll content myself with the new PS+ until F1 manager 2022 in August.

@themightyant Ender Lillies was incredible. The music particularly is a must listen to as you move through the game.

Time for Sekiro – but as others have said, waiting to see what PS+ Extra brings.

Not upgrading PS plus. Hate having the pressure to play a game before they take it off at end of some month. I will stick to buying games on sale and playing them when I feel like it.

I'll hold off until the full list of the ps plus launch in Europe is known. There are a few games on my wishlist for sale i might get. But i'll wait until tomorrow

@themightyant that's actually a good rule you have. I also need to switch something, since my backlog is ever growing especially with the ps plus launching tomorrow, i'll have 2 subsciption services plus all the ton of games i have bought but not played yet. It might get out of hand with the backlog otherwise lol. Think i need to do something like that as well.

Just had a scan but nothing for me this time. I am now aware of the existence of PC Building Simulator, tho, which has to be one of the most hilariously bizarre console games I’ve come across. They should package it together with something like Five Dates. That’s a hot combo right there.

The deluxe edition of Guilty Gear Strive dropped $25, which is nice. That's 30% off. I'm waiting for 50% off, though, as I I do with most games. That's the benefit of having such a massive backlog and a game like Destiny 2 that never ends - you don't have to buy games at full price.

It took me awhile to learn the 3 names and what order they are, still not 100% sure what the difference is between Extra & Premium. I do think we can all agree PS+ Essential is just irony on Sony's part b/c the LEAST essential thing in all of this is the word Essential, it is in fact simply PS+. 😂 Not sure the best way to write Extra & Premium. PS+Now is how Nintendo would have done it if you look at their naming, it's horrific. Which would then make Premium - PS+Now+Trials I guess.🤷

Well now that I've finally figured out the names guess I'd go with:
PS+
PSX (b/c everyone uses X for extra)
PSP

The + seems unnecessary as long as there's some context, and there almost always is.😁

5 year delayed Rainbow Moon sequelish Rainbow Skies is on sake for $8, normally $30. Playing the PS4 version on PS5 seems about right as it was due out so long ago it was initially a PS3 & PS Vita game.

I’m not even looking at this sale until I know what games are included in the new PS+ extra/premium tomorrow.

Huge FromSoftware/dark souls/Elden ring fan here… I might finally give Sekiro a shot now that it’s on sale. I played basically all other From games (didn’t like bloodborne enough to continue past the hour mark (I’m biased towards swords and magic)) but really gotta try Sekiro.

@rjejr I'd say +E, +X, and +P.
The PS is unnecessary because it's always PlayStation, but could be prefixed for PS+E, PS+X, PS+P. PSX and PSP don't work because they're existing abbreviations. PS++++++++++ is too difficult at a glance to tell which tier it's referring to.

With ps plus premium, I don't see myself buying another game unless the game comes from a small team that really needs all the sales they can get.

I did feel that way between PS++ and PS+++, getting to be a bit much.

Not a fan of leaving off the PS, sure we know what it is, but what about new readers to the site clicking on a link on Twitter? When I see +E +X +P I'm thinking of gaining EXPerience in my JRPG.

PS should stay regardless of what follows. And as I said earlier, PS+ Essential is literally just PS+, so no name for any extra letter. If nothing changed but the name then why change the name?🤷‍♂️

Whatever comes after PS+ I'm ok w/ now that I know what Extra and Premium are. Well for the most part, does anybody really know?😝

Already too many games in my backlog and tempted to upgrade to PS+extra for the next couple of months till subscription runs out so really should hold off on sales....

Had they changed the name of PS+ to PS+ Essential when PS4 launched and free online became required paid online only with PS+ Essential then I would agree w/ you, but since PS+ was already essential to play on line and absolutely nothing changed to it then I see no reason to change the name just so that each form of PS+ can have 3 names. So yeah, while I agree w/ your thinking that PS+ is Essential to play online - except Fornite of course, and probably a half other free-to-start games - it already was before the useless name change.

I call Nintendo Switch Online just NO b/c that was my thought when it launched, just no, and the Expansion Pass NO+, so I'm ok w/ PS+ PS++ and PS+++, not that hard to tell. Only downside is having to remember which is Extra and which is Premium, which is why I liked whatever I said before, probably changed my mind 3x already today. 😂
